Did 4th Grader Uziyah Garcia Relate To Teacher Irma Garcia? Irma Garcia, a teacher, and Uziyah Garcia, a fourth-grader, were both killed in the tragic Texas school shooting at Robb Elementary School two days before the school year ended.
On May 24, 2022, a young gunman locked himself inside a classroom before killing at least 19 children and two teachers at a Texas elementary school, making it the deadliest school shooting since the Sandy Hook massacre.
The fatalities were all fourth-graders at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, some 80 miles west of San Antonio. Salvador Ramos, the gunman, was shot and killed by an officer who arrived on the scene.
At least 12 children who were slaughtered in the attack have been named by their families, including 8-years-old Uziyah Garcia. Besides that, two victims were teachers, and they were Eva Mireles and Irma Garcia. After the news came into the media, some people began thinking that the teacher, Irma and student, Uziyah may have some blood relationship.
Late fourth-grader Uziyah Garcia and his teacher, Irma Garcia, are not related to each other, but they both were mass shooting victims. Netizens thought that they might be relative as both of them had the same surname.
However, there is no such news about the two Garcia having a blood relationship. Meanwhile, Irma was a 4th-grade teacher at Robb Elementary. She was a married woman and was blessed with four children. Her family has created a GoFundMe page. They are raising funds for funerals and memorials.
Apart from that, Uziyah was an eight-year-old boy and was described as the sweetest little boy by his grandfather, Manny Renfro. It was also reported that Uziyah visited his granddad, Renfro, in San Angelo during spring break.

Uziyah Garcia and Irma Garzia were not only the victims who lost their lives; many kids were kids. Other victims were Eliahana “Elijah” Cruz Torres, Jailah Silguero, Amerie Jo Garza, Makenna Lee Elrod, Alexandria Aniyah Rubio, Jose Flores, Navaeh Brown, Xavier Javier Lopez, Alithia Ramirez and Ellie Lugo. All of them were ten years old, but some sources say that some of them were seven or eight.
Moreover, Eva Mireles was also one of the victims who was a teacher at Robb Elementary School. She had been an educator for 17 years. Her daughter, Adalynn, tweeted a tribute to her mother Wednesday, where we can see the picture of her together with Eva. In her spare time, the teacher spent time with her family and did various adventurous stuff, including running, hiking, and biking.
