Lil Nas X is making his first statement to his fans after spending multiple days in jail for stripping nude on a major street in Los Angeles and allegedly assaulting police officers.

In a video posted to his Instagram Stories, the 26-year-old rapper said the four days he spent behind bars were ‘terrifying.’

But he also offered a message of hope to his 10.3 million followers, saying he was ‘going to be all right.’

His demeanor was particularly shocking coming after he was hit with four felony charges, including for three counts of battery with injury on a peace officer, which could send him to state prison for up to five years if he’s convicted on all counts.

Nas — real name: Montero Hill — opened his video by declaring, ‘Your girl is gonna be OK, y’all.’

The performer, who filmed himself standing under a balcony outdoors while wearing a lime green cardigan, looked around before honing his eyes back on the camera and adding, ‘She’s gonna be all right.’

But Nas’ eyes opened wide and his tone changed suddenly as he said, ‘S***. That was f***ing terrifying!’

‘That was terrifying,’ he continued. ‘That was a terrifying last four days.’

But his face settled and he returned to his relaxed demeanor as he reiterated, ‘Your girl’s gonna be all right.’

The day before his social media statement, Nas was seen leaving court in a blue prison jumpsuit after he was released on $75,000 bail.

The Old Town Road rapper was arraigned earlier in the day.

Nas was charged with multiple felonies, leaving him exposed to five years in state prison if convicted of the charges he’s accused of.

The Atlanta native was arrested after police saw him walking naked down Ventura Avenue in Studio City, leading to a confrontation in which authorities used a Taser to subdue him, TMZ reported Monday.

Lil Nas X’s charges include three felony battery counts, including injury on a police officer and resisting an executive officer.

Lil Nas X ‘did unlawfully use force and violence and inflict an injury’ on three police officers whom he ‘reasonably should have known’ were peace officers involved ‘in the performance of a duty’ for the public, a criminal complaint against him read.

It appears that the Montero (Call Me By Your Name) artist has a brewing legal battle on his hands.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman vowed that he will bring the musical artist to justice for his alleged attack on a group of police officers at around 5:40 a.m. on Thursday.

‘Attacking police officers is more than just a crime against those individuals,’ Hochman said in a statement, ‘but a direct threat to public safety.’

The prosecutor added that the Grammy-winning artist should not expect any special treatment in the wake of the confrontation in the San Fernando Valley last week.

‘Anyone who assaults law enforcement will face serious consequences, no matter who they are or how famous they may be,’ Hochman added.

The Panini vocalist entered a plea of not guilty as he was arraigned Monday in the courthouse’s Department 100.

He is slated to attend a preliminary hearing on September 15 in Department 112 of the courthouse.

The incident involving the Rodeo performer is being probed by the North Hollywood Division of the LAPD, officials said

The Van Nuys Branch of the District Attorney’s Office is handling the case against the performer.

A lawyer for Lil Nas X, Christy O’Connor, told a judge that ‘assuming the allegations here are true, this is an absolute aberration in this person’s life,’ NBC reported.

O’Connor added that ‘nothing like this has ever happened to him.’

Lil Nas X made a splash in music in 2018 as his country rap track Old Town Road went viral, leading to a collaboration with Billy Ray Cyrus on the same track.

He has previously collaborated with artists such as Cardi B, DaBaby and Jack Harlow.

A source told the Daily Mail last week that the musical artist might have fallen in with the wrong crowd as he copes with the fallout of fast fame and fortune over the past seven years.

‘Nas doesn’t feel that he can trust many people from his past,’ the source said, ‘because they tried to exploit him financially — but some of those people suspect his new friends can’t be trusted either.’

Lil Nas X has been ‘been hanging around some seedy characters in LA who some people suspect have been leeching off him and living in his house,’ the source went on to say.

Lil Nas X’s relatives want to step in and support him in the wake of the most recent incident, the insider said.
