DENVER (KDVR) — Deion Sanders, the head coach of the University of Colorado Buffaloes, is organizing a press conference on Monday amid ongoing health concerns, with his medical team reportedly present.

CU Boulder has announced that Sanders will lead the first press conference for the 2025 camp on Monday at 11 a.m., where he plans to “provide updates.” Although the exact topic of the press conference has not been disclosed, the university mentioned that he will be accompanied by his medical professionals.

This conference follows persistent inquiries regarding Coach Prime’s health. In June, Sanders was reportedly dealing with an “unspecified health issue” at his residence in Texas. Despite having managed issues with his left foot since the amputation of two toes in 2021 due to blood clot complications, Sanders has not publicly discussed his health challenges.

After not attending some football camps in Boulder, Sanders took to social media in June saying that “everything is OKAY” despite his extended absence, but he will provide updates when he is back in Boulder.

Sanders released a video on Sunday saying that he had to write a will in May, and there will be a press conference Monday.

Now, he is providing updates, but it’s unclear if he will be speaking about his medical issues. When Sanders made an appearance on the second day of the Big 12 Media Days, he refused to talk about his health and only focused on the Buffs’ upcoming season.

Sanders has said he is coming back, and he recently signed a $10 million base salary contract extension through the 2029 season after turning around the program.

The Buffs are about a month out from opening the season at home versus the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Aug. 29.
