Despite admitting that he ‘hated’ Ant Middleton and the DS (Directing Staff) during filming, he said the show has made him ‘a better person for real’.

After confirming he was one of the contestants on his social media page, Wes said: ‘I was gonna say how difficult the course is but tbh it’s just plain f***ed up!! I’ve never been so humbled In my life!’

The reality-star-turned-singer continued: ‘It broke me down, built me up and completely changed me as a person, I couldn’t be more grateful! I’m not a guy who tends to show my weaknesses mentally or physically but thanks to @antmiddleton and the DS you get to see them all for your entertainment next Sunday @channel4 the 29th Enjoy!’

On his way home: Wes also said he lost weight and had swollen eyes after the show and sent a picture of himself to friends admitting he was ‘still cute tho’

He also took to the platform to take questions from his fans, one of which asked whether he cried.

Wes told his followers: ‘Yes. For the first time properly in tears. Bringing up family got to me. No shame in it.’

Asking what he thought of Ant and the Directing Staff, he added: ‘As much as I hated them on the show they are honestly legends. You only hate them because they beast you all day and highlight the things you choose to ignore about yourself. Made me a better person for real.’

Despite Ant hosting the upcoming series, he will not be appearing in future instalments.

Taking to Twitter back in May, he penned: ‘After 5 incredible years I’ve decided it’s time to move on from SAS Who Dares Wins UK. Big respect to my fellow DS – it’s been a journey I’ll never forget.

‘Thanks to everyone that took part and made the show what it is. Really excited about the future and what’s coming this year.’

Each of the well-known faces think they have what it takes to pass the tribulating SAS Selection.

Each celebrity will abandon their glamorous lifestyles and head into the wilderness of the Scottish Hebrides in the remote island of Raasay – on what is called ‘one of the toughest selection courses yet.’

Over eight days, the twelve celebs will be put through a strenuous course that will test them both physically and mentally.

Despite the difficulty of the show, its outcome is to help the celebrities uncover their ‘true self’ – although not all the celebrities will have what it takes to get to the end of the show.
