A Florida resident has been arrested following allegations that he threatened a woman with a knife during a confrontation as she was reversing her car into her driveway.

Kayan Dealmeida-Fernandes, 32, faces charges of four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon stemming from a road rage incident in Miami on November 6. According to court documents obtained by Law&Crime, Dealmeida-Fernandes was navigating a residential area when he encountered a woman backing her vehicle into her driveway. He reportedly honked his horn and maneuvered around her car, stopping to confront her. Witnesses claim he shouted, “What the f— was that, b—? You saw me coming!”

Authorities report that Dealmeida-Fernandes positioned himself in the street and continued to shout at the woman as she completed parking. He allegedly brandished a pocketknife and threatened her, asking, “Do you want to die or no?” The woman then called out for her husband, who emerged from their home.

Documents indicate that the confrontation escalated when the husband pushed Dealmeida-Fernandes, who was still allegedly brandishing the knife and making threats. After the altercation, Dealmeida-Fernandes returned to his vehicle. As he departed, he allegedly pointed a firearm at the couple, using a racial slur and questioning, “You want to die?” before leaving the scene.

Police located Dealmeida-Fernandes at his Miami residence on Friday. They conducted a traffic stop after he left his home and took him into custody. Officers discovered a pocketknife on his person and a gun inside his vehicle.

After being informed of his rights, Dealmeida-Fernandes reportedly confessed to the verbal confrontation and to threatening the couple with both the knife and gun. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Metrowest Detention Center, with bail set at $20,000. A bond hearing is scheduled for December 10.
