Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred on Wednesday.
Authorities reported that on March 26, around 8:41 a.m., officers from the Uniformed Services Division were dispatched to the 2700 block of North Washington Street regarding a stabbing incident.
When the police arrived, they found a 26-year-old male victim, who was then taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition. Initial statements from the location revealed that the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds across his body.
As police were investigating, officers located a suspect in that block and took 58-year-old Alvin Woods into custody without incident.
Woods has been charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony and Assault (Second Degree).
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was released on $22,500 unsecured bail.
