CHICAGO (CBS) — A man is dead after being shot by someone in a passing car in Auburn Gresham Monday afternoon.

At 3:55 p.m., the 29-year-old victim was on the street in the 8300 block of South Elizabeth Street when a car pulled up and someone fired shots at him from inside.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
