Mark McCloskey was able to retrieve the rifle he wielded on June 28, 2020, during an incident where he and his wife, Patricia, stood guard outside their home as protesters walked through their neighborhood.
According to news reports, Mark was armed with an AR-15 while Patricia carried a pistol, both positioning themselves in front of their residence in response to the protest march.
An investigation was launched on June 30, 2020, focusing on the couple’s use of firearms to safeguard their property. Less than a month afterward, authorities confiscated the AR-15 Mark had held on that significant day.
Mark now has his rifle back:
Mark shared on X: “After 3 lawsuits, 2 trips to the Court of Appeals, and 1,847 days, I finally got my AR-15 back! We defended our home, faced persecution from the left, were slandered by the media, and received threats, but we never wavered.”
He mentioned to FOX News, “The gun’s value might have been around $1,500, and it cost me significant time and effort to recover it, but it’s essential to take a stand. You must demonstrate that you will never retreat or surrender.”
Mark expects that Patricia will be able to re-take possession of her pistol this week.
