Martha Stewart has once again addressed rumors surrounding her youthful appearance and potential plastic surgery, putting speculation to rest.
The 84-year-old television icon, known for her willingness to embrace a natural look—evidenced by her recent makeup-free photo in a daring negligee—spoke with People in an article released on Friday.
In 2023, Stewart previously tackled similar rumors when she graced the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition, sparking conversations about her appearance.
“People are convinced I’ve had plastic surgery, but I have never undergone any plastic surgery,” Stewart told the publication.
She asserted, “I’m incredibly honest—if my word isn’t enough, I’m not sure what will convince them. That’s simply the truth!”
Stewart did note that she once visited a plastic surgeon, but clarified that she does not categorize the experience as plastic surgery.

‘Everybody insists that I’ve had plastic surgery and I have not ever had plastic surgery,’ Stewart told the outlet
Years earlier, the media personality remembered an incident when one of her dogs accidently hit her face as she bent down to say goodbye to one of them.
‘She didn’t bite me. She bashed my lip into my tooth and split it from my lip almost all the way to my nose and blood started gushing out all over the dog.’
Stewart reached out to a hospital and after informing staff that she had a terrible ‘accident,’ she also asked for a plastic surgeon.
After driving to the medical facility in a snow storm, she received ’16 stitches in my lip.’
‘I can’t call that plastic surgery, that is a repair. It’s a terrible, terrible, terrible split lip… you cannot see. I healed so well. That is the extent of a plastic surgeon working on my face.’
The businesswoman added, ‘That is the only time I’ve ever had a plastic surgeon touch my face.’
Stewart’s incredibly youthful appearance and radiant glow has been a source of surgery speculation in recent years.
She was embroiled in the rumors when she posed in a 2023 issue for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine.

‘There are only a few naysayers saying, “The pictures are over-retouched.” But they’re not,’ the cook told Variety at the time.
‘They are incredibly accurate pictures. I was really pleased that there was not much airbrushing.’
Stewart simply added, ‘I’ve had absolutely no plastic surgery whatsoever.
‘I have very healthy, good hair. I drink green juice every day. I take my vitamins. I eat very healthfully. I have very good skin doctors. I’m very careful in the sun. I wear hats and I wear sunblock every single day.’
While revealing that she ‘hates’ Botox, the star said that on a rare occasion she will get ‘certain fillers’ for ‘a little line here or there.’
The TV personality expanded on her dislike of Botox during an episode of The Martha Stewart podcast in 2024 with cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Belkin as her guest.
When she has attempted to get Botox, Stewart said that her ‘eyebrows kind of go up in a V and that looks so unnatural.’
Belkin chimed in to add that the Hollywood star has also had a ‘little bit of skin tightening’ as well — with the use of devices such as Sofwave.

Stewart – who will turn 85 later this year in August – also offered her thoughts when it comes to aging.
‘I don’t think a lot about age, but I don’t want to look my age at all. And that’s why I really work hard at it.’
And during a recent appearance on the 50 & Unfiltered podcast, the author further expressed that plastic surgery is something ‘doesn’t appeal’ to her.
‘I have this theory that if one takes care of oneself really well and follows strict but not life-threatening kinds of disciplines, one can look good, feel good and be good for a whole life.’
While Stewart does not intend to venture towards plastic surgery, her mother did.
‘My mother came to me when she was 85 and asked if I would help her get a facelift,’ she recalled.
The surgeon ‘looked at her and said, “You’re a beautiful woman. I can’t make you look younger, but I can make you look better.” So she went for it… and she looked great.’
