The identity of the woman who turned heads in a daring ‘naked’ dress at the Brownlow Medal count can finally be revealed.
Event organizer from Melbourne, Joanne Schorback, caught everyone’s attention when she appeared with Collingwood Hall of Famer Des Tuddenham, overshadowing frequent red carpet attendees and younger WAGs at AFL’s premier event.
At 55, she turned heads in a Alamour The Label’s sheer gown, revealing her undergarments through the carefully placed crystals and beading.
‘I actually had a skirt to wear underneath, but it was too long – it kind of distorted the dress,’ Ms Schorback told the Daily Mail on Tuesday.
‘If I was in my 20s or 30s I would have worn a g-string.’
The mum-of-one admitted she was blown away by the public interest her dress generated, as well as the romantic speculation surrounding the pair.

‘He’s actually my neighbour. We met at the local hotel pub in Port Melbourne and have known each other for a few years,’ she said.
And this wasn’t their first red carpet event together, she revealed.
‘He’s taken me to the Hall of Fame before and he wanted to take me to the Brownlow and you can’t turn Des down,’ she laughed.
Joanne shared her familial connection to AFL, noting a relative who played with both Collingwood and Essendon alongside Tuddenham, now 82, during the 1960s and 70s.
‘I come from an AFL family background, and my uncle played with Des,’ she said.
Her uncle, Doug Wade, was a renowned Australian rules footballer, celebrated for his goal-kicking achievements with Geelong and North Melbourne.
‘So that’s another funny connection.’
The breathtaking $799 dress, which was initially her backup option for the event, is highlighted on the brand’s site as ‘crafted to make a statement entrance.’
The description reads, ‘Designed to flatter the body’s form, the Andrea Gown is adorned with fine beads running down its length, adding a glamorous touch to its bold style.’
Ms Schorback also praised Des, who was impeccably dressed in a tuxedo and proved himself the ultimate gentleman at the glittering event, she said.
‘You don’t often get the doors opening for you,’ she said.
She remarked on Tuddenham’s gentlemanly behavior, stating, ‘But when an 82-year-old ensures your comfort by opening doors, pulling out your chair, and accompanying you, it shows how he genuinely takes care of you.’

This isn’t the pair’s first red carpet together. Joanne Schorback was also Des Tuddenham’s date to a recent AFL Hall of Fame soiree

Despite her headline-making outfit and the online buzz, Joanne laughed off suggestions of a Brownlow romance with her veteran date
Despite her headline-making outfit and the online buzz, Joanne laughed off suggestions of a Brownlow romance.
‘I was sitting around the Legends area, like the older group with their wives, and they were all very lovely,’ she said.
‘But no, nobody gave me their phone number.’
She admitted her evening didn’t end when the red carpet wrapped up as she kicked on until 2.30am at the afterparty at Nobu inside Crown Casino.
‘I haven’t been out dancing for a long time, so I was making the most of that,’ she said.
‘I definitely came home though…Des went to his house and I went to my house.’
