In a fascinating twist of public life, Meghan Markle seems to be evolving into a figure reminiscent of a Kardashian.

Hints of this transformation have been evident but have become more pronounced lately, especially as high-profile friends like Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Tyler Perry appear to be keeping their distance.

Similarly, Meghan’s professional ventures are showing signs of strain. She has parted ways with Spotify, her and Harry’s Netflix collaboration has been reduced to a mere “first-look” deal, her podcast “Confessions of a Female Founder” has concluded, and her new venture, the ‘As Ever’ brand, launched earlier this year, seems to be struggling.

Most recently, Meghan made headlines by attending the Balenciaga show in Paris. She shared a video of herself enjoying a chauffeured ride, casually filming as she passed the tunnel where Princess Diana tragically died.

This act carries an undeniable Kardashian flair—an intriguing mix of shock value, audacity, and a touch of controversy, perhaps Meghan’s latest strategy.

Her actions invite speculation: Could this footage be part of a prospective Netflix documentary about Diana?

After all, 2027 will mark the 30th anniversary of Diana’s death. Perhaps Meghan’s compiling their Netflix sizzle reel now.

And who better to guide her through such ostensible exploitation than Kris Jenner?

Before we turn to the evidence that Meghan may be in her Kardashian chrysalis phase, let’s look at what the last few days may augur for Meghan and Harry.

The public and formal expulsion of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson from royal life and the family itself, with Andrew and Sarah forced to give up their titles, seems to have had the muscle of Prince William behind it.

In the battle between the infamously conflict-avoidant King Charles and the clear-eyed, more pragmatic Prince William — well, it seems William won.

Harry just got a brutal look at his, and Meghan’s, ignominious future under the future King William.

‘In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,’ Andrew’s statement read.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich said that there’s only one way to interpret that statement.

‘Prince William has been the force behind this, and he is right,’ she said. ‘Prince William is looking far more long-term at the viability, reputation and indeed existence of the monarchy.’

Does anyone really think William will countenance Meghan, after that Diana stunt, retaining her royal title? Let alone any viable connection to the British royal family?

Of course not. And Harry, once again, is in exile — with Charles being the only member of his family willing to entertain a reconciliation.

In the wake of that September summit with his father — a summit William, by all accounts, was against — Harry has sabotaged any progress by reportedly writing to the British Home secretary to formally request a new ‘assessment’ of threats to his safety.

Following Megxit, the Sussexes’ taxpayer-funded security was discontinued. Yet Harry won’t take ‘no’ for an answer, having lost a third hearing and final court appeal to reverse the decision in May.

Indeed, it may be awkward for the King to reconcile with a son who remains fighting His Majesty’s government.

‘It complicates things for the King,’ a palace insider told The Sunday Times. ‘It’s not going to help matters. We are back to where we were.’

That statement seems to imply that there’s nothing the King can do to placate Harry, who clearly can’t be trusted to move ahead in good faith.

And ‘good faith’ is an appellation that no one applies to Meghan anymore.

So why not turn to Kris Jenner, Queen of the Dark Arts, who can maximize almost any scandal?

Why not turn to a matriarch whose daughters have left no shortage of husbands and ex-boyfriends — Lamar Odom, Scott Disick, Kris Humphries and Kanye West — worse than when they found them?

A woman who, after her own husband transitioned from Bruce to Caitlyn Jenner, then turned her anger and humiliation into another marketable reality show?

Meghan Markle may finally have found the momager she needs.

It was Jenner who is rumored to have turned daughter Kim’s sex tape — filmed when Kim was 23 years old with her then-boyfriend Ray J — into a media empire.

Exhibit A: Among the first celebs to receive limited-edition first-runs of Meghan’s ‘As Ever’ jam in April was Kris Jenner, who posted her jar — surrounded by bruised, bumpy lemons — to social media.

Jenner was #13 out of 50 recipients.

‘Thank you,’ she wrote.

The earliest known beginning of this most unholy union dates back to August 2023, when Jenner and her daughter Kim were photographed with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, at This is About Humanity’s 5th Annual Soiree (oh, how Meghan loves a humanitarian enterprise!) in August 2023.

Two months later, The Mirror reported that Jenner was eager to bring Harry and Meghan into her fold and onto her Hulu show, ‘The Kardashians.’

‘It’s no coincidence that the Kardashians all move in the same circles as Meghan’s new circle,’ a source said at the time.

Well, well, well. How the tables have turned.

Just two years later, it seems Meghan is the one who needs Jenner’s help.

It’s obvious: Every single one of Meghan’s projects, no matter how aggressively marketed as Meghan’s true passion, or the most authentic expression of where and who she is, has been an epic flop.

For that last endeavor, Meghan failed to land a single A-list guest for her show: No Taylor Swift (who reportedly ignored Meghan’s written request to appear on her ‘Archetypes’ podcast), nor Oprah, Gwyneth or Michelle Obama.

As for Meghan’s ‘As Ever’ product line, distributed in conjunction with Netflix — well, that looks like yet another loser too. The Daily Mail reported last month that the streaming giant will likely let remaining inventory ‘peter out’ along with their merchandising deal.

So who better, it seems, than one Kris Jenner to give Meghan Markle yet another chance to launch?

It makes sense. Markle has no other power player left. Jenner and her daughters, it turns out, have a longstanding relationship with Balenciaga — which would have eased Markle’s way into that show, the show to which she was not invited.

If anyone can turn brand Markle into something commodifiable — not necessarily respectable, just commercially successful — Kris Jenner may be the only one to do it.

As Khloe Kardashian (another recipient of Meghan’s first-run jam release) advised in her mother’s 2022 Masterclass: ‘Without a success-driven mentality, what are you being famous for?’

If there was a better question suited to Meghan herself, I can’t think of one.
