Miley Cyrus is breaking her silence regarding her relationship status with her parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, following months of gossip about potential family divisions.

The music icon has been caught in the center of family tensions. Recently, she reconnected with her father, Billy Ray, who has been in the spotlight due to controversial social media remarks and a rapid-fire romance with actress Elizabeth Hurley.

Meanwhile, Miley’s mom Tish came under fire after fans noticed she had seemingly unfollowed her daughter on Instagram—a move she later denied. 

The moment followed Tish’s own reconciliation with daughter Noah Cyrus after their much-discussed falling out.

Now, Miley has taken to Instagram to shut down the rumors and set the record straight.

‘I usually stay quiet about hearsay, but my mom and I have an unbreakable bond,’ Miley, 32, expressed in a message shared on her Instagram Story.

‘She’s my best friend. Like a lot of moms, she doesn’t know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me — simple, coincidental and uninteresting.’

Miley also addressed her relationship with Billy Ray, 62, acknowledging their rocky past but insisting they’re in a better place now.

‘My dad and I have had our challenges over the years,’ she continued. ‘Now, in my 30s, family is my priority above all else. I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing.’

She ended her post on a hopeful note, writing: ‘Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family.’

On Friday, Miley shared a heartwarming Instagram photo with her dad Billy Ray, as they came together to celebrate her brother Braison’s 31st birthday. 

The father-daughter duo looked to be in great spirits during the family gathering.

Speculation of a possible rift between Miley and Billy arose this year – and a few months earlier in March, a source told DailyMail.com that she is worried her father could ruin her music comeback.

The songstress is preparing to release her upcoming ninth studio album titled Something Beautiful on May 30. 

The insider had stated, ‘Miley doesn’t want the family feud drama overshadowing her music career, especially right now as she gears up for a new era.

‘It feels like Billy is making this all about him while Miley has made it quite clear she wants to focus on her music and not have their family drama be part of the conversation.’

Miley notably did not include her father in her speech last year when she accepted her first Grammy, which she won for Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit track Flowers. 

Last month in April, Billy Ray also went public with his new budding romance with Elizabeth Hurley – and a separate insider alleged to New Idea that Miley had not been aware of the relationship when it came to light. 

However, the father daughter duo seemingly proved that their is no tension between them while enjoying quality time together. 

Earlier this week, a source told TMZ that Miley and Billy have a ‘good relationship’ and have also seen each other recently.  

Despite claims that the two have a frosty relationship, the outlet reported that the reality is entirely the opposite. The insider also emphasized that Miley is on good terms with both her dad and mom Tish. 

But some of Miley’s other siblings – including Trace, Brandi and Noah – did not appear to be present for Braison’s birthday celebration. 

Earlier this year in January, Trace made a dramatic plea to his father Billy to get help after his ‘trainwreck’ performance at the Trump inauguration. 

The 35-year-old later claimed that his dad threatened him with legal action after his public post. 

That same month, Braison broke his silence over the family drama and told People, ‘I don’t have any bad feelings toward anyone in my family.’ 

Billy is also rumored to be on rocky terms with daughter Noah, but he recently uploaded a gushing tribute on social media to both Miley as well as the 25-year-old.

Billy shares Miley, Noah, Trace, Braison and Brandi with ex-wife Tish Cyrus. He also has a 32-year-old son named Christopher, whom he welcomed with Kristin Luckey. 

Earlier this week, fans were left stunned over claims that Tish had ‘unfollowed’ her daughter Miley on Instagram. 

In the comment section of the Sorry We’re Cyrus podcast’s Instagram page, she offered an explanation to worried social media users. 

She wrote in response to a fan: ‘have no idea how the happened but it’s fixed now!’ followed by a pink heart emoji. 

Another follower wrote, ‘Why did you stop following Miley???’ and Tish answered, ‘I didn’t! Idk what happened lol.’ 

The Grammy winner has been keeping busy as she prepares to drop her new album Something Beautiful later this month. 

She has already released the tracks Prelude, Something Beautiful and End Of The World that are also from the LP along with accompanying music videos.

Something Beautiful will contain a total of 13 tracks and follows her 2023 album titled Endless Summer Vacation.

And on Friday, Cyrus released another single More To Lose which was accompanied by a black and white music video. 

Some fans have speculated that the lyrics referenced to her ex Liam Hemsworth whom she was married to from 2018 through 2020. 

In the chorus, she belted out: ‘I stay / When the ecstasy is far away / And I pray / That it’s comin’ ’round again.

‘And you say it / But I wish it wasn’t true, oh / I knew someday that one would have to choose / I just thought we had more to lose.’ 

This week on Monday, the beauty also turned heads as she attended the 2025 MET Gala in a cropped, leather top as well as a fitted, high-waisted skirt that flowed down towards the ground.
