A father-to-be was lucky to escape unscathed after his speedboat flipped over while trying to cross land at 25mph.
Hugo Gariepy had been visiting the Taureau Reservoir in Quebec, Canada, with his girlfriend Caroline Methot and a group of friends on Saturday.
The entrepreneur decided to test his Rivercross speedboat across the sand with disastrous consequences which were caught on camera.

In the clip, Hugo is joined by a friend in a blue speedboat which hurtles out into the water as they try to build up speed.
Caroline joins dozens of other onlookers as the pair then head directly towards dry land at speeds of 25 mph (40 kmph).
Hugo braces himself but as they make contact with the sand embankment the boat goes airborne for a few seconds.
It returns back to the ground with a thud and the impact causes it to flip over, much to the horror of the spectators who begin to scream.

Incredibly, neither Hugo, who is expecting a child with Caroline at the end of September, nor his friend were injured and their vessel survived with just minor scratches to its paint.
Hugo, from Sainte-Beatrix, Quebec, said: ‘We were very lucky that we weren’t hurt. It was scary being flipped upside down like that.
‘When we came back to land, the boat landed slightly on its right side and forced it to overturn to the left side.
‘Even though we were braced, it didn’t stop us from ending the wrong way up.

‘We ended up falling out of the vessel into the shallow water which probably softened our landing a bit.
‘Everyone was really quick to run over and help us out of the boat as they were worried, but we were unhurt.
‘Incredibly the boat doesn’t have any major damage to it, just some minor scratches to the paint, that’s all.
‘I love anything that goes fast. I love riding around outdoors on quad bikes and have even modified a lawnmower to increase its speed.’
