Footage taken during an earthquake in Elbistan, southern Turkey, shows the moment an entire street is left in ruins as high-rise buildings are reduced to rubble in seconds.
The 7.6 magnitude earthquake in the Kahramanmaraş Province struck Monday, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said.
It followed a 7.8 magnitude tremor at 04:17 local time (01:17 GMT), centred around the cities of Gaziantep and Kahramanmaras, western Turkey, which caused hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries.
The video, taken from the camera of a moving car, shows a building shaking before the others around it collapse. A cloud of dust then fills the screen, with debris showering down. Three civilians can be seen running across the road to safety.

The earthquake hit the country at 1:24 pm (10:24 GMT) and it occurred at a depth of 7 km, AFAD said.
Tremors were felt as far away as Greenland, the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland said.
The footage was taken in the Güneşli area of Elbistan.
Seismologists said the first quake was one of the largest ever recorded in Turkey. Survivors said it took two minutes for the shaking to stop.
A woman who spent the first 10 years of her life in Turkey and now lives in London has described struggling to ‘find words to describe’ how her family is feeling after the homes of her relatives living near the earthquake’s epicentre have completely collapsed.
Dilan Altun, 22, has scores of relatives in Elbistan, including her grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins, who she has been in contact with and said are now ‘homeless’.
‘I’ve never seen my grandad cry – they’re trying to help others but they’ve got nothing themselves,’ Ms Altun, from north London, told the PA news agency.

She added: ‘People are hungry, kids, elderly (people) and pregnant women… People have to sleep outside in the rain and snow – some people have actually died from the weather conditions after being rescued from the rubble.
‘All I can feel is guilt… I feel guilty to be in my warm home, I feel guilty for falling asleep in my bed when everyone is out there in the cold and helpless.
‘The locals are pinpointing exactly where and how many people are under rubble but they receive (zero) help… They have to dig with their own hands and nails to try to get some people out.’
There have been more than 6,200 deaths confirmed from the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, with the death toll expected to rise.
