FHP: 4 arrested in connection to several burglaries in St. Johns County

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Law enforcement officials arrested four individuals from Fort Lauderdale in Ormond Beach on Thursday night, linked to a series of burglaries in St. Johns County, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.

Around 8:42 p.m., the FHP reported receiving intelligence about a black four-door Volkswagen Jetta with the Florida license plate No. 78DRDA, believed to be traveling south on Interstate 95 and associated with the criminal activities.

FHP says the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office then located the vehicle at 1622 North U.S. Hwy 1 in Ormond Beach.

In collaboration with detectives from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, the FHP successfully apprehended the four suspects on multiple counts of burglary and theft, subsequently transporting them to the Volusia County Jail for custody.
