AN active shooter situation has been reported at a Walmart prompting police to rush to the scene.
The shooting was reported at the Beavercreek, Ohio Walmart at about 8:30 pm.

As of 9:45 pm ET, there is no longer an active threat.
The Beavercreek Police Department has responded to the scene and confirmed that a shooting did occur.
“The building has been cleared and secured,” they said in a statement.
One witness who was at the store when the shooting broke out said on social media that the gunman had a backpack and a rifle.
“He walked right past me,” the woman said through sobs.
“I heard gunshots and I just ran. All I heard was gunshots over and over again.
“I’ve never been so scared in my life. Thank God I was by the front of the store when it happened,” she continued.
The witness also said that police were at the scene by the time she ran out of the store into the parking lot.
Local reporter Steve Norris shared on X, formerly Twitter, that employees and shoppers in the Sam’s Club adjacent to the Walmart are locked inside.
Norris also said that a CareFlight helicopter was at the scene taking four victims to nearby Miami Valley Hospital, and that one person was dead at the scene.
Police have not officially confirmed the number of victims, nor if there were any fatalities.
Miami Valley Hospital is on standby, according to local CBS affiliate WHIO.
Beavercreek is a suburb of Dayton, which is located about 60 miles north of Cincinnati.
