EXCLUSIVE: The EP on ITV’s groundbreaking new drama about a deaf woman who helps solve crimes has joined Sister.
Bryony Arnold, who is EPing the upcoming Code of Silence, has taken an Executive Producer role at the Black Doves indie, we are told. She joins as maternity cover.
Arnold’s past credits include Peaky Blinders, Ripper Street and Netflix’s Treason.
Her latest, Code of Silence, stars deaf Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose Ayling-Ellis as a smart and determined deaf woman who, having spent years working in a police canteen secretly observing conversations, is recruited for a covert operation to surveil a dangerous gang as they plot a high-stakes heist. Mammoth Screen’s drama is one of ITV’s biggest upcoming shows and, with launch date May 18, it is being given plenty marketing firepower.
Arnold is also a co-director of the UK’s Deaf & Disabled People in TV, a group seeking to improve conditions and representation for deaf and disabled people in the industry.
Sister MD Chris Fry said: “We are really excited to welcome the brilliant Bryony Arnold to the SISTER team. She’s a hugely talented producer with an impressive body of work, which we’ve long admired. We know she’ll bring something truly special to the company.”
Fry was recently promoted at the Black Doves producer, which has Andrew Lincoln-starrer Cold Water incoming for ITV.
