Mar-a-Lago 'sex attack' scandal takes explosive twist

The devoted MAGA supporter, who insists he has been falsely accused of a sexual assault at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, has launched a second defamation lawsuit, alleging that his supposed victim spread ‘malicious falsehoods,’ the Daily Mail reports.

Cameron Moore, aged 48, initiated the federal lawsuit on Saturday against his former girlfriend, following the Daily Mail’s revelation of the scandal, which was purportedly kept under wraps to prevent embarrassing the president before the recent election.

According to the lawsuits, the alleged attack happened at the club in the early morning hours of November 2, 2023.

The woman, a 39-year-old single mother who was visiting Moore from Utah, accused him of ‘forcing himself inside her,’ according to court papers.

She recorded a confrontation with him on that day and handed the recording to a club member, who then circulated it among influential individuals in the MAGA circle – including a Mar-a-Lago executive, the Secret Service director, and a senior Trump assistant who is alleged to have played it for Donald’s son Eric.

The controversy has now led to two defamation lawsuits by affluent Republican donor Moore, who is striving to suppress and discredit these allegations that jeopardize his lavish lifestyle, frequently highlighted on social media where he is seen mingling with Trump and his senior officials.

The Daily Mail disclosed on Friday that Moore initiated a lawsuit in January 2024 against Maria Selloni, the club member accused of circulating the recording, citing defamation and privacy violation.

In that first suit, Moore seeks to have the recordings destroyed, arguing they were created illegally in a state that requires two-party consent.

Former Mar-a-Lago affiliate Cameron Moore, a staunch supporter of MAGA, has filed his second lawsuit against the ex-girlfriend who charged him with a violent sexual assault at the prestigious club in November 2023, as stated in court documents.

The scandal has shaken Moore’s reputation, contributing to the loss of his club membership in 2024 and threatening his connections to Trump’s inner circle, including FBI Director Kash Patel (left) and Trump-appointed Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch (right)

He also made a broader argument that this was all part of Selloni’s ‘calculated path to destroy Moore’s reputation and cause him embarrassment and emotional distress’.

On the heels of the Daily Mail report, Moore dropped another legal bomb, suing the 39-year-old ex-girlfriend he says he is falsely accused of attacking.

Maria Selloni, 49, was a club member who was the first to be sued by Moore for what he claimed was a 'calculated path' to destroy his reputation after sharing a recording given to her by his ex with top Trump officials

In the new filing Moore argues the woman – who we have chosen not to name as she is an alleged victim of sexual abuse – recorded him without his permission and lied to Selloni, saying Moore ‘forced himself inside of her, sexually assaulted her and intentionally tried to impregnate her’.

Moore claims his ex shared those ‘false statements’ with former Utah state Representative Phil Lyman. According to the complaint, Lyman is also a ‘professional acquaintance’ of Moore’s.

Moore, who sold his Palm Beach condo in July and returned to California, seeks a jury trial and compensation for the emotional distress and reputational damage he claims his ex-girlfriend caused.

His first case, against Selloni, is due to go to trial next January. Seloni maintains she had every right to distribute the recording.

He filed that lawsuit in Palm Beach Circuit Court two months after the alleged attack, but the case remained under wraps until the Daily Mail exposed it last Friday.

There was no arrest or even record of a police report being filed. Moore didn’t identify Mar-a-Lago by name in the lawsuit, referring to it only as a private club. And Selloni, the club and Trump associates released no information.

Under questioning from Moore’s attorney, Selloni expressed her concern that publicity could damage the president’s campaign, even as she stood by the sex assault claim.

‘During this election time, there is a valid concern of any potential negative effect arising from bad press, etc.,’ Selloni, 49, stated in written answers to the questions.

Selloni also noted that ‘some of the events, if not all of the pertinent ones’ … occurred on Mar-a-Lago property. ‘The issues could be considered scandalous,’ she added.

The alleged incident followed a contentious dinner at Mar-a-Lago marking the reopening of the club for the 2023-24 winter season.

Moore had dinner with his girlfriend, as well as Selloni and her husband, according to the court papers and sources who spoke with the Daily Mail.

But Moore and Selloni offered dramatically different accounts of the night. Moore’s suit paints a picture that Selloni had a vendetta against him.

The victim allegedly claimed that Moore 'forced himself inside of her' and gave her trouble when she asked to get a morning-after pill the next day, leading to an argument she allegedly recorded and sent to Selloni (PICTURED: Mar-a-Lago where sources say the scandal happened)

He claims she confronted his girlfriend in the bathroom and told her she was ‘in grave danger’ and ‘to get as far away from Moore as possible’.

She further claimed he ‘physically abuses women’ and that she’d seen ‘multiple women leaving the venue in tears’ because of him, his lawsuit says.

He said all of this was false, but that it still spooked his girlfriend, who later recorded him having a ‘humiliating’ argument with her, and shared it before she left town.

But responding to questions from Moore’s lawyer, Selloni confirmed she approached the girlfriend in the bathroom, but only because the woman was crying and asking for help, a court document shows.

‘(The victim) indicated that Moore was pinching her leg under the table to shut her up when she was speaking with me,’ Selloni recalled under questioning earlier this year.

The next morning, the girlfriend allegedly called Selloni and shared her story, saying she and Moore stayed at the club that night and claiming he assaulted her.

He then allegedly ‘flipped out’ when she asked him to take her to a local CVS to buy a morning-after pill, but eventually agreed to.

Seloni stated that despite the political sensitivities, she shared the recording ‘for the protection of (the victim), the owner of the club, the club itself as well as others.’

Selloni said it was air-dropped to Sean Curren, a member of Trump’s Secret Service detail who is now the agency’s director, and Lynne Patton, a Trump aide who became White House Director of Minority Outreach.

It was also played for Heather Rinkus, Mar-a-Lago’s executive assistant/guest services director, she said.

Sources tell Daily Mail that Patton played it for others, including Eric Trump.

Speaking with Daily Mail last week, Moore said he filed the lawsuit against Selloni because he felt under attack.

‘This is about me clearing my name,’ he said through tears.

Daily Mail has learned that Moore, founder of the American Heroes Foundation that promotes veterans’ rights and the ‘America First’ agenda, was quietly kicked out of the club in December, a year after allegations against him were first raised, yet he has continued to portray himself as a Trump insider.

In late August, Moore posted what seemed to be a fresh video of himself standing with Trump confidante Roger Stone, who was celebrating his birthday and can be seen thanking Trump for treating them to dinner that night.

But Stone tells the Daily Mail that the video showing him with Moore was actually shot at his 71st birthday two years ago.

Moore moved to Palm Beach from California in 2022 to expand his network in the center of the Trump universe.

He bought the condo, but sometimes stayed in the club during its renovation. According to him, Trump himself sponsored his membership, a step that allowed him to skip the typical application process.

He became a regular, playing golf, dining and organizing fundraisers on site. Sources say they also saw him with a rotating cast of dates and guests he’d invite into the club.

‘He always seemed to be with a different dirty blonde, every time I’d see him,’ said one regular.

‘The problems came from him consistently bringing unvetted guests to the club,’ another said. The alleged victim did not respond to Daily Mail’s request for comment.
