It’s a big month for Danish model Josephine Skriver, who tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend on April 3 — and now, in honor of her birthday, Sports Illustrated has announced her return to its annual Swimsuit Issue.
Skriver, who turns 29 today, posed for the SI Swim 2022 Issue in a teeny yellow string bikini, the first photo of which was shared on Instagram this morning.
‘Just when we thought those wedding photos had us speechless, today’s birthday babe gives us THIS!’ Sports Illustrated Swimsuit wrote on Instagram.

In the upcoming May special issue, the Scandanavian bombshell poses in a unique setting — not in the water or the sand, but in a field of high grass near the shore in Montenegro, with mountains in the background.
Shot by James Macari, Skriver is dressed in a goldenrod-hued string bikini by Ashley’s Bikinis, with earthy earrings and bracelets to accessorize.
Her makeup was done by Christyna Kay,and her hair by DJ Quintero.
On Instagram, the post has earned fawning comments by fellow SI Swim models Camille Kostek, Brooks Nader, Tanaye White, Katrina Scott, and Katie Austin.
While the shoot probably took place some months ago, the announcement comes just a week and a half after Skriver tied the knot with singer-songwriter Alexander DeLeon.
Earlier this month, she married singer-songwriter Alexander DeLeon in Mexico (pictured in 2018)

‘We felt overwhelmingly loved and emotional,’ the bride said. ‘Alexander couldn’t hold back his tears, besides his best efforts.
‘It was the third time we tried to get married because of the pandemic and the ecstatic feelings about finally being able to do it were the greatest imaginable. Standing in front of the love of your life and hearing the words “I do” come back at you is the best feeling in the world.’
The nuptials took place at Acre Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
‘Because the wedding was a destination wedding, it was a lot of back and forth over email and text,’ Josephine told Vogue. ‘Nothing was overly tangible or even visual to us at home, but we had full trust in our planner Bonnie Chase with Bliss Events.’
Model Jasmine Tookes was a bridesmaid, and musicians Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone were guests as well.
Brooks Nader, 26, is also making an SI Swim return – and like Skriver, she flew to Montenegro for the shoot
Meanwhile, Brooks Nader, 26, is also making an SI Swim return.
In a new image released yesterday, the model — who was a Swim Search winner in 2019 — wears a cinnamon-colored OlaVidaSwim two-piece with a halter top and a bottom cinched with ribbons on the sides.
She, too, was shot by Marcari in Montenegro with the same hair and makeup team.
Enthusiastic comments poured in for Nader, too, including from Hailey Clauson, Christon Harper, Tanaye White, Katie Austin, Camille Kostek, Yumi Nu, Kamie Crawford, and Olivia Ponton.
Speaking to the magazine, Nader said that she preps for swimsuit shoots by working out every day with a trainer at Gothan Gym.
‘For my diet, I cut out wine and alcohol for a month and reduce the amount of cheese I eat,’ she said. ‘Plus, I go to my dermatologist a month before to do micro-needling to promote collagen. Then I do a hydrafacial right before the shoot.’
The star also shared a behind-the-scene stories from this particular shoot, recalling how she got to explore Montenegro.
‘The first day I got there, the video team was like, “Pack your bags; we’re going on a road trip.” We drove to northern Montenegro, where it was snowing and cold. I got to hike up this mountain, and it was all a total surprise. It kept me on my toes,’ she said.
