Nicole Kidman’s daughter made headlines at New York Fashion Week, but not for the reasons one might hope.

Seventeen-year-old Sunday Rose took to the runway at the Calvin Klein Fall 2026 show this past weekend, where her walking style drew criticism. Observers were quick to point out her heavy-footed approach, describing it as more of a “stomp” than a strut.

The daughter of Kidman and Keith Urban donned an oversized beige trench coat with prominent brown leather lapels over a buttoned-up shirt. Her ensemble was completed with white gloves, a brown clutch, and slouchy brown leather boots, with her hair pulled back to frame her face.

While some admired her fashion choices, others speculated that her appearance was more about her parentage than her prowess on the catwalk.

Mom Nicole was endlessly proud of the teen as she reshared a video of her daughter walking during the show to Instagram, writing: ‘New York Baby.’

“Nepotism is disgusting,” commented one critic.

‘Nepotism is revolting,’ one person declared. 

‘Just stomping around,’ joked one critic.

The teen, who is the daughter of Kidman and Keith Urban , wore an oversized beige trench coat with large brown leather lapels, worn over a buttoned-up shirt, as she walked the runway 

‘Looks like she’s on her way to talk to her mom about her dad,’ laughed one user. 

‘I love, love, love Nicole.. but Sunday Rose looks kinda weird as a model,’ was someone else’s opinion.

‘She walks like a pony! She’s not a model! 

‘Without her parents’ connections, she would be helping the REAL models in and out of their runway outfits!’ declared another.

‘Clomp clomp clomp,’ berated another. 

Models are supposed to walk in ‘smooth strides’ down the runway with their arms relaxed by their sides, according to Backstage.

Sunday has been modeling since she was 16 after making her runway debut during Paris Fashion Week in 2024 for Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer show.

Last year, she landed a major campaign with the Italian luxury fashion house Miu Miu.

The campaign came three months after she was roasted online over her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week, opening the Miu Miu Paris Womenswear Spring-Summer 2025 show in October. 

The teen shared the catwalk with fellow nepo babies Amelia Grey Hamlin, who’s the daughter of Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna, and Eliot Sumner, who is the child of The Police frontman Sting and wife Trudy Styler.

Sunday Rose strutted in a white sleeveless dress, paired with gray leg-warmers and black peep-toe heels.

While her mom Nicole once again showed her support both at the show and following her runway debut, many critics on the internet hit out at Sunday Rose’s walk.

Some people suggested she take runway lessons, while others simply complained that too many nepo babies think they can model.
