Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson has reignited discussions about election integrity following a recent social media announcement. Her office reportedly identified over 2,000 “potential noncitizens” registered to vote in the state by cross-referencing voter rolls with an immigration database.
On Monday, Nelson took to the social media platform X to reveal that 2,724 individuals were flagged as “potential noncitizens” after their records were compared with data from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ SAVE database. This post quickly gained traction, amassing millions of views, coinciding with the start of early voting in Texas and other states.
