JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Progress is being made on a significant affordable housing initiative in Johnson City. On Tuesday, the Johnson City Regional Planning Commission took a decisive step forward by unanimously approving a preliminary plat for the first phase of Heidi’s House of Hope, a mixed-housing development set to take shape near Watauga Road. This approval marks a pivotal moment in the project’s journey toward providing much-needed affordable living options in the community.
