A woman is dead and three children were taken to hospital after a home was believed to have been fire bombed in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were called to the home at New Beith near Logan in Brisbane‘s southern suburbs around 3am this morning to find it fully ablaze with the ceiling collapsed.
A 33-year-old man was taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital with serious burns to 90 per cent of his body as a result of the incident.
A 30-year-old woman and three children aged 5, 3 and 2 escaped the residence without injuries but have been taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for observation.
A 31-year-old woman, known to the occupants but who did not live at residence, was found deceased inside the home.
Police believe the blaze at the Bidyan Boulevard property is suspicious and are investigating whether it is the result of a domestic violence incident.
Emergency services were called to the Bidyan Boulevard property at New Beith, south of Brisbane, around 3am on Thursday morning
A crime scene has been declared at the scene with forensic detectives expected to attend this morning.
