Stars complain about ICE, Iran and Gaza on the red carpet

As the spotlight shone on the Oscar-nominated documentary “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” its cast used the red carpet as a platform to advocate for peace, urging a permanent halt to conflicts worldwide.

“We’re demanding a permanent ceasefire,” declared actor Saja Kilani in an interview with Deadline. Kilani passionately highlighted the ongoing bombings and the resulting devastation and displacement affecting many regions, including Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Venezuela.

Adding her voice to the call for peace was Charithra Chandran, known for her role in “Bridgerton.” She sported a red Artists4Ceasefire pin and shared her perspective with The Hollywood Reporter, emphasizing the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza. “The news cycle moves quickly, but the suffering in Gaza and the West Bank persists,” she reminded.

In a striking statement, author Glennon Doyle carried a purse emblazoned with the bold message “F**k ICE,” further emphasizing her position on social issues.
