Jared Fogle, once the face of Subway, asserts that he was misled by federal prosecutors into admitting guilt in a child pornography case.

These allegations resulted in a jury conviction, leading to Fogle’s current incarceration at the Federal Correctional Institution Englewood in Colorado. He received a sentence of 15 years and 8 months, with his earliest possible release scheduled for March 24, 2029.

Fogle became a household name after claiming to have shed over 200 pounds by eating Subway sandwiches. He was a prominent figure in the company’s advertisements for more than ten years.

In 2015, Fogle was dismissed from his role following his confession to engaging in sexual acts with at least two minors and acquiring child pornography featuring at least 12 others.

Interestingly, Fogle now works in the prison café, where he is involved in making sandwiches.

The family of a girl who accused Fogle in a child pornography case that led to the former Subway pitchman’s imprisonment is dropping a lawsuit against him. A motion filed Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, in federal court in Indianapolis requested that the lawsuit be dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be brought back to court.
