A minivan passenger was killed and two drivers were hurt Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash in Dehesa, authorities said.

The Chrysler minivan and a Honda Civic collided about 3:30 p.m. on Dehesa Road not far from Harbison Canyon Road, about 2 miles away from Sycuan Casino Resort, according to the California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire San Diego.

The minivan passenger, whose age and gender was not immediately available, died at the scene, Cal Fire Capt. Frank LoCoco said.

The driver of the sedan suffered major injuries, and the driver of the minivan suffered minor injuries, LoCoco said. Both drivers, whose ages and genders were also unavailable, were taken to a hospital for treatment.


No further information was immediately available.
