Daniel Levy will make his first Fans Forum appearance in over five years on Tuesday after 12 months of change and tumult at Tottenham.

In the last year, Levy’s Tottenham have had three permanent managers in the dugout, sold their record goal scorer and perhaps best ever player, and seen their own director banned from football by FIFA.

As a result, at times last season there were many calling for Levy to leave the club, after a long tenure as the north London club’s chairman.

Now, though, Levy will return to centre stage for the first time since before the dismissal of fan-favourite Mauricio Pochettino, appearing at a Fans Forum at the club’s stadium.

Over the summer, Harry Kane departed for Bayern Munich for £100million having gone through most of Postecoglou’s pre-season.

Huge numbers of Spurs fans were understandably angry that their talisman had been allowed to leave so late in the window, but with their side flying at the moment, those questions have perhaps receded somewhat.

But not all concerns have abated in north London, with a protest against rising ticket prices taking place before the club’s impressive 2-0 win over Manchester United last month.

This term, the most expensive Tottenham season ticket could cost fans as much as £2,025, although it has since been revealed that a full ticketing review had been ordered by Spurs director Donna Marie-Cullen.

The resignation of director Fabio Paratici came after the Italian was handed a global football ban by FIFA after allegations arose of false accounting while at Juventus.

Five managers – Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini – have left the club since his last Fans Forum appearance, but Levy has attended a Fans Advisory Board meeting already in September.

The meeting, which took place on September 5, saw the revelation that Scott Munn would take charge as the club’s new chief football officer at the end of September, while a new technical director was set to be appointed.

‘This changes over time, but the most important thing for the club is to be a highly competitive team that wins and, importantly, entertains fans,’ Levy is reported to have said when asked what success looks like at Tottenham.

‘The strategy to date has been to invest in the playing squads, build a new training centre and increased stadium capacity.

‘The focus now is to optimize those investments – both tangible and intangible – and drive revenues that enable the club to reinvest in players and create a winning club.’

The FAB also saw discussions on the club’s women’s team, and although Levy revealed that it was ‘losing money’ there was scope for a greater number of games to be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The goal for the club is now thought to be to challenge for the top six in the WSL.

Levy will be part of a panel that includes men’s captain and coach Son Heung-min and Postecoglou and women’s captain and coach Bethany England and Robert Vilahamn.
