Beatrice and Eugenie 'aghast' at new Epstein revelations

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie find themselves deeply troubled by their mother’s troubling email correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, a figure they regard as reprehensible. Sources intimate with the royal sisters report that they are not only shocked but also profoundly embarrassed by fresh images of their father, Prince Andrew, in a compromising position with an unidentified woman.

Their discomfort is compounded by Sarah Ferguson’s ingratiating emails to Epstein, written after his conviction for child sex offenses. In these exchanges, Ferguson, who had previously benefited from Epstein’s financial assistance, lavished praise on him, even jesting about marriage, calling the disgraced financier a ‘legend.’

In a particularly unsettling email, Ferguson referred to her daughter Eugenie’s personal life and disclosed that she had introduced her children to Epstein over lunch during their teenage years. This revelation has left Beatrice and Eugenie particularly mortified.

Furthermore, newly revealed emails suggest Ferguson alleged that Epstein had a secret child and expressed feelings of abandonment by him in 2011. She also insinuated that Epstein’s friendship was a strategic maneuver to gain proximity to her former husband, Andrew, rather than genuine camaraderie.

Another email mentioned her daughter Eugenie’s sex life and revealed Fergie had taken her children to lunch with the convicted paedophile when they were teenagers.

The Mail has also today unearthed an email from Ms Ferguson that suggests Epstein had a secret child. The former Duchess of York also accused him of abandoning her in 2011 and said it was ‘crystal clear’ he was only her friend to get close to her ex-husband Andrew.

A source close to Eugenie and Beatrice told the Daily Mail: ‘They are aghast at what they have read. They are mortified by the emails their mother has sent to Epstein. It is so embarrassing for them.’

They added: ‘We don’t believe the girls [Beatrice and Eugenie] were told much about what has just emerged [in the latest Epstein files release], and they will simply be aghast at just how close their parents were to this appalling man.’

It came as a defiant Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor went riding near his Royal Lodge home on Monday morning. He was reported to be meant to move out last week.

Andrew, his ex-wife and daughters are repeatedly featured in the Epstein Files.

Beatrice and Eugenie are said to be reeling from the photo of their father appearing to kneel on all fours over a female lying on the ground.

Another email from their mother said that Eugenie was away on a ‘sh**ging weekend’ while another revealed that Fergie had taken both daughters for lunch with Epstein in Miami in July 2009.

The former Duchess of York – who has faced her own Epstein controversies – is seen praising the late convicted sex offender as the ‘brother I have always wished for’ and told him ‘just marry me’.

In one email Fergie wrote: ‘You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service . Just marry me.’

The source close to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie said it was now clear that King Charles and Prince William knew there was more scandal to come for their disgraced parents.

The source said: ‘It seems clear that William and the King were given some kind of forewarning in intelligence briefings late last year about what was still to come.

‘They obviously couldn’t share that, and when they evicted Andrew and Sarah from Royal Lodge, some people thought it was too harsh.

‘In the light of what’s now come out, it looks a more appropriate sanction’.

In one email from March 2010, Esptein appears to ask Fergie about a possible trip to New York by writing: ‘ny?’.

And in reply, Fergie wrote: ‘Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a sh*****g weekend.’

The email was sent around the time of Eugenie’s 20th birthday, which she spent with then boyfriend, now husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Other newly released emails also showed Fergie gushing over Epstein after he complimented her in front of Eugenie and her older daughter, Princess Beatrice.

In August 3, 2009, Fergie went so far as to describe Epstein as ‘the brother I have always wished for’ and even called the criminal a ‘legend’, in a later email. Appearing in the Epstein files does not indicate guilt or wrongdoing.

In the email, Fergie wrote: ‘In just week, after your lunch, it seems the energy has lifted. I have never been more touched by a friends kindness than your compliment to me in front of my girls. Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for.’

The following year, another email from ‘Sarah’ to Epstein is overflowing in affection.

‘You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness,’ she writes.

‘Xx I am at your service . Just marry me.’

Emails, previously released to the public, showed the ex-Duchess calling Epstein her ‘supreme friend’ on April 26, 2011. This came just weeks after she told reporters she would ‘never have anything to do with’ the sex offender again.

Her spokesperson, last year, claimed Fergie said this ‘in the context of advice the duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats’ because Epstein allegedly threatened to sue her.

Today the Daily Mail can also reveal how an angry Sarah Ferguson accused Epstein of only being friends with her to get close to her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, saying he had ‘disappeared’.

The disgraced Duchess of York said in a 2011 email to Epstein, sent after he had been jailed for child sex offences, that it was now ‘crystal clear’ he was using her.

She accused him of having ‘disappeared’ and this had ‘hurt me deeply’, adding: ‘More than you’ll ever know’.

The email had been sent after Fergie had offered him ‘love, friendship and congratulations’ after the birth of a ‘baby boy’ that she learned about from her ex-husband.

She wrote angrily: ‘You have disappeared. I did not know you were having a baby.

‘It was sooooo crystal clear to me that you were only friends with me to get to Andrew. And that really hurt me deeeply [sic]. More than you will ever know’.

An email sent to Epstein two years earlier revealed just how close she thought they were – and that the paedophile had called her ‘Ferg’ as a nickname.

Emails between them indicate that he had lunch with the then Duchess of York and her two daughters Beatrice and Eugenie in Florida.

In July 2009, Epstein sent an email to her asking ‘where are you?’.

Around 90 minutes later she replied: ‘In Miami. What number shall I call you on?’

She adds that she stayed at ‘Phillip Levine’s house with the girls. I am aiming to get to you for 12:30 for lunch. Does that suit?’

Epstein asked if she needed a ‘ride’, but she said no.

She added: ‘I made Phillip give us his car and a back up one for the policeman’, before confirming it would be ‘myself, Beatrice and Eugenie’ at the lunch.

The Princesses were 20 and 19 respectively in 2009.

The potential existence of Epstein’s secret son was also revealed by Fergie.

The former Duchess of York had offered him her ‘love, friendship and congratulations’ on the birth in a note sent to the paedophile financier in September 2011.

It came as a defiant Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor went riding near his Royal Lodge home on Monday morning.

The potential existence of Epstein’s secret son, who would now be 14 and in high school, was revealed in a sycophantic email to him by his friend Fergie, who suggests she heard the news from her ex-husband Andrew.

Fergie appears to have used it as an excuse to get back in contact with Epstein, even after his release from prison for child sex offences.

She wrote in the previously unseen email, released in the latest tranche of Epstein files: ‘Don’t know if you’re still on this bbm [BlackBerry Messenger) but have heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy’.

The email dated September 21, 2011, contains a barbed attack on Epstein from Fergie for apparently cutting off contact with her.

She wrote: ‘Even though you never kept in touch, I am still here with love, friendship and congratulations on your baby boy’. It is signed: ‘Sarah x’.

It is not known if Epstein responded to her offer of continued friendship.

Epstein himself never confessed to having any children in his lifetime.

But more than 100 people are said to have claimed that they may be his offspring and may have had a claim to his fortune.

‘Jeffrey Epstein was sexually promiscuous for so long that there is a reasonable chance he may have fathered a child,’ the founder of DNA firm Morse Genealogical Services, Harvey Morse, said in 2020, adding: ‘He could even be a grandfather.’

His DNA company set up a website called epsteinheirs.com and said 130 people came forward to them.

Although Mr Morse said that at least a quarter were dismissed as unreliable almost immediately.

The existence of a secret child emerged as new footage showed Epstein describing himself as a ‘tier one’ sexual predator.

The footage emerged as part of the tranche of files that the US department of justice published on Friday, including 180,000 images and 2,000 videos.

Epstein, wearing glasses and a black shirt, is also asked whether he ‘is the Devil himself’ by the interviewer, who does not appear on screen but he is believed to be Donald Trump’s former chief strategist, Steve Bannon.

‘No, but I do have a good mirror,’ the convicted paedophile responds, before the interviewer hits back: ‘It’s a serious question. Do you think you’re the devil himself?’

Epstein says: ‘I don’t know. Why would you say that?’

The interviewer begins to explain, saying, ‘because you have all the attributes’, before Epstein cuts him off: ‘No, the devil scares me.’

Bannon, 72, served in the White House role for the first seven months of Trump’s first administration.

It is not clear when or where the interview was filmed, who filmed the video, or why Bannon in particular was chosen to question Epstein.

‘What are you, [a] class 3 sexual predator?’ the interviewer asks Epstein.

‘Tier 1. I’m the lowest,’ the American financier responds.

He is asked whether the money he has earned over his lifetime is ‘dirty money’, to which Epstein responds: ‘No, it’s not.’

Pressed on why not, Epstein says: ‘Because I earned it.’

‘You earned it by advising the worst people in the world, that do enormous, bad things, and just to make more money,’ the interviewer says.

‘Ethics is always a complicated subject,’ Epstein hits back, before talking about the money he claims he donated to help eradicate polio in Pakistan and India.

‘Instead of asking me whether that money should be given to these children for vaccines, I think you might want to ask their mothers – who receive the vaccine, who know their child now won’t get polio – and ask them if Epstein should have helped these people with their money,’ he adds.

‘You’re a mathematician,’ the interviewer responds, before putting forward a hypothetical scenario in which Epstein walks into the clinic and tells the people ‘in the most dire straits of poverty and sickness’ that the money was coming from a ‘criminal’.

‘What percentage of people do you estimate would say, ‘I don’t care; I want the money for my children?’ the interview asks.

‘I would say everyone says, ‘I want the money for my children’, Epstein responds.

Epstein was running ‘the world’s largest honeytrap operation’ on behalf of the KGB when he procured women for his network of associates, intelligence sources suggested over the weekend.

The release of more than three million new documents relating to the late sex offender gives credence to incendiary claims made by senior security officials: that Epstein was working on behalf of Moscow, and possibly Israel, when he facilitated assignations for some of the world’s most powerful men.

The files include 1,056 documents naming Russian President Vladimir Putin and 9,629 referring to Moscow. Epstein even seems to have secured audiences with Putin after his 2008 conviction for procuring a child for prostitution.

The sources say it could explain why Epstein appeared to enjoy an ultra-wealthy lifestyle out of kilter with his career as a financier, although there is no documentary evidence linking Putin and his spies directly to Epstein’s illicit activities.

But the sources also claim that while US security services ‘monitored’ Epstein’s Russian connections for years, their UK equivalents were hesitant due to Epstein’s connection to Andrew.

The cache includes an email claiming Bill Gates asked one of Epstein’s advisers to provide medicine to treat sexually transmitted diseases due to ‘sex with Russian girls’ – something he has dismissed as ‘completely false’.

It also contains a document confirming The Mail on Sunday’s October report that Epstein offered to introduce Andrew to a ‘beautiful’ 26-year-old Russian woman in August 2010 – two years after Epstein’s conviction.

American intelligence experts believe Epstein was inducted into the world of espionage via business deals with Robert Maxwell, the disgraced media magnate who – like Epstein – died in murky circumstances; in Maxwell’s case his body was found floating in the Atlantic in 1991, having apparently fallen overboard from his yacht.

Epstein was found hanged in 2019, but relatives believe he was murdered to silence him.

Maxwell’s daughter, Ghislaine, is serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking and other offences linked to her association with Epstein, who she is said to have met shortly after her father’s death.

Security sources say Robert Maxwell was a Russian asset from the 1970s, when he worked to extradite Soviet Jews to Israel, with the involvement of Israeli intelligence service Mossad.

In return, they say, Maxwell laundered Russian money into the West – with the help of Epstein.

They think the financier was introduced to Maxwell and the KGB by an oil tycoon also in the pay of Russian intelligence. Probes into Robert Maxwell’s business dealings have uncovered links not only to the KGB and Mossad – but also MI6.

US security officials also believe Epstein had long-standing ties with Russian organised crime, who could have been blackmailing him. That could explain the ease with which Epstein appeared to be able to fly in ‘girls’ from Russia.

A source said: ‘You have Andrew, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and all the rest placed in compromising positions on an island bristling with technology. It’s the world’s largest honey trap operation.
