In a surprising twist of events, a female probation officer was caught on camera sharing an intimate moment with her lover, who is serving time for murder, during a prison visit. This incident has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions about professional boundaries within the criminal justice system.

Twenty-seven-year-old Bethany Dent-Reynolds was recently sentenced to jail time herself after it was discovered that she had been exchanging ‘sexual’ WhatsApp messages and phone calls with Kieran Robinson, a convicted killer. Their clandestine relationship came to light through footage captured at HMP Lowdham Grange in Nottinghamshire, where Robinson was transferred.

The video reveals the couple embracing and kissing before settling down together on a sofa. The two appeared engrossed in conversation, with their fingers intertwined, seemingly unfazed by the presence of another individual approaching them in the Category B prison. This intimate exchange reflects a deep connection that had been cultivated over time.

Dent-Reynolds, hailing from Forest Hill in London, initially crossed paths with Robinson at HMP Belmarsh, recognized as one of Britain’s most secure prisons. However, their relationship took a romantic turn when she assumed a new position as a probation officer at HMP Brixton.

As for Robinson, he, along with his cousin Sean Robinson, is currently serving a 23-year sentence for the murder of Donnell Rhule in West Dulwich, South London, a crime committed in July 2020. The nature of this relationship has sparked concerns over ethical conduct and the responsibilities of those working within the prison system.

Robinson and his cousin Sean Robinson are each serving 23 years for the murder of Donnell Rhule in West Dulwhich, South London, in July 2020.

The female prison officer was sentenced to eight months behind bars over her relationship with Robinson.

The two shared a number of sexually explicit messages and phone calls with each other.

She also accessed restricted records about his murder case on a probation computer system and discussed her findings with him, telling him his co-defendants ‘all stuck it on you’.

At Dent-Reynold’s sentencing last Friday, prosecutor Sam Willis said: ‘In a nutshell, whilst working for His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, the defendant engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a serving prisoner.

‘The defendant’s mobile telephone was downloaded and examined. Numerous WhatsApp messages between the defendant and Kieran Robinson were found on it, including messages of a sexual nature, images of both the defendant and Robinson, and a message from Robinson asking her for a “favour”.’

Mr Willis said Dent-Reynolds accessed the probation service’s Delius computer system using a colleague’s login credentials to look up Robinson’s case files.

He told court of how she shared with Robinson details of police interviews claiming ‘They all stuck it on you’.

The barrister added: ‘She said “everyone had prepared statements except for you’. She went on to say ‘when I was reading it I was like oh my God this is f****** ridiculous. Yeah, makes me angry, But also makes me upset angry. I don’t know like, it’s a mix of emotions, I just want you out”.

In other messages, shown to the court, Robinson messaged Dent-Reynolds wishing her an amazing day. To which the former prison officer replied: ‘You too my sweetheart’.

Kieran Robinson and his cousin Sean Robinson chased down 18-year-old Donnell Rhule ‘down alleyways and across streets’ and stabbed him in the heart in broad daylight in 2020.

They were jailed in 2021 for 23 years each.
