LOS ANGELES — The Cotswolds are calling and “Rivals” is answering.

The production for the second season of Hulu’s original drama, adapted from Dame Jilly Cooper’s best-selling novel, begins this month. Viewers can look forward to 12 episodes filled with “even more wit, desire, and dramatic twists.” Hulu offers a sneak peek with a behind-the-scenes video showing the cast reuniting for a table read. The all-star ensemble greets each other with smiles, hugs, laughter, and even a few kisses, as they step back into their characters for the new season.

Returning to the series are David Tennant as Lord Tony Baddingham, Alex Hassell as Rupert Campbell-Black, and Aidan Turner as Declan O’Hara. They’ll be joined by Nafessa Williams, Bella Maclean, Katherine Parkinson, Danny Dyer, and Victoria Smurfit. New cast members will be revealed in due course.

Set against the backdrop of 1980s British television, the second season of “Rivals” re-enters the dramatic world where “personal and professional collide.” As secrets come to light, careers, marriages, and reputations are at risk, with success potentially costing everything.

Season 1 of “Rivals” is streaming now on Hulu.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Hulu and this ABC station.
