A new docuseries is set to unveil audio recordings featuring Michael Jackson’s personal reflections on his connection with children.

Secured for a four-part series titled “The Trial,” these tapes will be showcased on Channel 4, beginning its UK premiere on February 4.

The series aims to shed light on previously undisclosed aspects of the legendary musician’s 2005 trial concerning child molestation allegations.

One particularly unsettling snippet, accessed by the New York Post, captures Jackson expressing his profound dependence on relationships with children.

He is heard saying, “If you told me right now…Michael, you could never see another child…I would kill myself.”

In the series trailer, Jackson suggests that children were naturally drawn to him, hinting at his unique bond with them. The docuseries promises to delve deeper into these complex interactions.

‘Children want to just touch me and hug me,’ he said in one recording.

‘Kids end up falling in love with my personality,’ he added in another. ‘Sometimes it gets me into trouble.’

An insider told the Post: ‘There is something extremely unusual and eerie about Michael Jackson’s infatuation with children.

‘To hear his voice discuss children in this manner, given he had been accused on molestation, raises many questions about his mental health, mindset and sadly, intentions.

‘This is Michael at his most open, giving us an insight into how he was in love with children… infatuated with wanting to be around them.’

Jackson admitted to allowing children into his home and even into his bed without parental supervision.

His former public relations advisor revealed in the series that he ‘absolutely’ believed the allegations against the popstar, reported the Telegraph.

‘I believe there was a cover-up for so many years,’ he said.

The tapes are believed to give more insight into Jackson’s relationship with young cancer survivor Gavin Arvizo.

Arvizo accused him of sexual molestation in 2005, saying Jackson showed him pornography and gave him alcohol.

The indictment included four counts of child molestation, four counts of getting a child drunk with the purpose of molestation and of conspiring to hold a boy and his family at his infamous California ranch, Neverland.

Following a four-month trial, Jackson was acquitted of all 14 charges.

Wade Robson and James Safechuck were close friends of Jackson’s in their childhood.

They each testified in his defense but later admitted to lying to protect the singer.

Both were featured in the 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland, in which they detailed the singer’s alleged abuse.

Jackson’s estate still vehemently denies all child molestation accusations against him.
