Nat Rothschild upset his parents in the mid-1990s when he eloped with socialite Annabelle Neilson and embarked on a short-lived marriage.
Nor did he invite his father Lord (Jacob) Rothschild, who died last year, to his 2016 wedding to former glamour model Loretta Basey.
Nat has, though, not been left out of the will of Jacob, who used to speak to his friend King Charles every day.
Newly published probate documents disclose that Lord Rothschild left a fortune of £400million.
It will be shared among family members including Nat, 53, who is now the 5th Lord Rothschild.
The Rothschilds’ banking empire was founded in Frankfurt in the 18th century. During the Victorian age, they became the richest people in the world.

Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace, unceremoniously dethroned from her family brand last month, has found solace in London.
She made her first public appearance following her departure as Versace’s creative director at a party given in her honour at Tramp nightclub in St James’s, London.
Donatella, 69, was surrounded by her model pals Kate Moss, 51, Amber Valletta, also 51, and Claudia Schiffer, 54.
‘Queens of London,’ writes Donatella next to this picture online. She will now take on a role as Versace’s chief brand ambassador.

Canny Kate Moss is making a second fortune as a modelling agent.
Newly published accounts disclose that the top model has run up £5.1 million worth of profits at Kate Moss Agency, whose clients include her daughter, Lila.
The agency’s takings, in the year to last July, include an £800,000 profit, with Moss holding £6 million in her company before bills – including £2.3 million in cash.
Moss set up the agency in 2018 and is on its books herself.

‘My boy is a painter already,’ proudly declares the former ballerina, who has been going out with Hirst, 59, since 2018.
The card features what appear to be handprints by their son, whose name has not been made public.
They live together in Hirst’s £36 million home in Regent’s Park, London.
Confined to the kitchen on Downton Abbey, Lesley Nicol is enjoying life on the ocean wave.
The actress, 71, who plays the cook Mrs Patmore in the period drama which returns to cinema screens in September, says: ‘I’ve taken to working on cruise ships.’
Speaking at The Tabard Theatre in Chiswick, west London, Nicol says: ‘I go as a speaker. It’s quite good fun. They’re very nice, they look after you.’
She adds: ‘It’s a good way of paying for a few extra bills.’

‘It’s much easier to start a new habit together. So I thought we could start practising gratitude together.’
