Sandlot actor Patrick Renna, 47, makes rare outing... see him now

Patrick Renna captured the hearts of audiences as Hamilton ‘Ham’ Porter in the beloved 1993 baseball comedy, The Sandlot.

Recently, the 47-year-old former child actor was seen enjoying a rare outing in Los Angeles, stopping by to grab a coffee.

Renna, who shares his Scientologist faith with fellow star Tom Cruise, opted for a laid-back ensemble for the occasion. He sported a navy shirt layered over a grey t-shirt, complemented by brown pants and sneakers.

His signature curly hair, cherished by fans since his first steps into the spotlight, remains unchanged.

While Renna is most celebrated for his memorable role in the classic sports comedy, he has continued to stay involved in Hollywood, primarily through television.

His career includes appearances in well-known series and films such as The X-Files and Boy Meets World.

He’s also made appearances on popular shows such as Glow and Bones, and has done some voice work on the Spider-Man 3 video game.

Still, baseball has been good to the actor.

He frequently posts glimpses of his baseball outings with followers on his Instagram.

He previously shared snaps with Dodgers’ third baseman Justin Turner, and also got the opportunity to play umpire for a local Los Angeles team.

Renna is also a natural comic and often creates funny videos for his fans.

In 2023 Renna shared that he is still in an active group text with his Sandlot castmates, over 30 years after the release of their little league film.

‘A couple of the guys have Android. So it’s real painful because [the texts show up in] the green bubble. I can’t take it,’ the Boston-born star joked to People.

‘We’re all on it. We’re all pretty close. Some of the guys, Marty [York] and Victor [DiMattia], are quite close and they’ve sort of stayed in touch over all the years. But I see them a couple times a year, and it’s like no time has passed and we just jump right back into it. We’re close, for sure. We all share this great moment in history together.’

The Sandlot spawned two direct-to-video sequels in 2005 and 2007, which only brought back three original cast members James Earl Jones, David Mickey Evans, and Chauncey Leopardi.
