Blackburn Calls on Media to Return Pulitzer Prizes Awarded for Russia Collusion Hoax

Friday on FNC’s “Hannity,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) took aim at the media for its involvement in the so-called Russia collusion hysteria.

The Tennessee Republican said the effort by Democrats and the media showed that they were “void of good ideas.”

“Alright. So, they spent three long years spreading falsehoods, and now they’re simply brushing it off,” host Sean Hannity remarked. “Disregard the genuine intelligence, the declassified information that you’d assume they’d be interested in. Ignore the fact that senior intelligence officials, with high confidence, stated they were wrong. What we did was correct, yet now they refuse to acknowledge it after lying for three years?”

Blackburn responded, “To begin with, they should return their Pulitzers and other awards, and perhaps wear a sign that reads ‘gullible,’ because Brennan, Clapper, and Comey played them for fools, much like catching fish in a well-stocked pond. They were probably amused at how unquestioningly everything was printed, with no real investigation conducted. Now, they won’t cover it, Sean, because people have caught on. They realize they weren’t doing their job and were simply sharing their opinions.”

“One major point here is that the Democrats seem to believe their only path to victory is through deceit,” he added. “Their ideas lack substance, and they rely on media support to assist and mask their dishonesty. That’s the only strategy they have for winning, and it’s quite disheartening. As for the fake news outlets like CNN, who have opposed Donald Trump, I hope viewers decide to turn away from them. They haven’t just lied once, but repeatedly for years.”
