The Bluesfest festival will go ahead next month, despite flooding in the Byron Bay area

Organisers say while parts of the site, north of the town, have been flooded, the water is receding and plans are underway for the event.

However, all of the stages, plus food halls will be under tents.

The event starts on Thursday, April 18.
