Paige Shiver, once both the mistress and personal assistant of Sherrone Moore, has come forward to discuss the profound influence the former Michigan coach held over her life. Her revelations paint a picture of a relationship marked by Moore’s alleged dominance and control.

Moore’s career with the Wolverines came to an abrupt end on December 10th when he was dismissed following an internal university probe into his inappropriate relationship with Shiver, who served as an executive assistant. The same day, Moore faced arrest near Shiver’s apartment after authorities responded to a call reporting his unauthorized entry and threats of self-harm.

The fallen coach recently faced legal consequences, receiving an 18-month probation after entering a no contest plea to charges of misdemeanor trespassing and the malicious use of a telecommunications device. While Judge J. Cedric Simpson imposed potential jail sentences of 180 and 30 days, these were suspended, sparing Moore from immediate incarceration contingent upon his compliance with probation terms.

Shiver has publicly criticized the judicial outcome, expressing her discontent with the leniency shown by the judge. Following her initial statement, she has taken her account further by participating in an on-screen interview, where she delved into the complexities and dynamics of her past relationship with Moore.

Judge J. Cedric Simpson did order prison sentences of 180 days and 30 days, but the terms were both suspended, meaning Moore won’t have to go to jail if he abides by the requirements of his probation.

In the wake of the decision, Shiver released a blistering statement that slammed the judge’s decision and now she has gone one step further after sitting down for an on-screen interview detailing the alleged intricacies of their relationship.

Speaking to ABC’s Good Morning America, Shiver said: ‘I mean, here’s a man that had complete control over me, over my emotions, over my career. He knew that and he used it against me.

‘Every time I tried to pull away, every time I tried to try get out of Michigan, he always had a story, always had a way to pull me in and making me feel that I couldn’t leave him because he was so miserable without me.’

The full interview is set to air on Friday and will no doubt include further allegations from the former Michigan Wolverines executive assistant about their relationship.

After Moore received his sentence of 18 months’ probation over his arrest for confronting Shiver at her apartment, she scolded the judge’s decision in a statement.

Shiver said: ‘December 10th was the most terrifying day of my life. The criminal acts he committed were extremely frightening and violent.

‘He broke into my apartment, crying, yelling, enraged, and came at me with knives. I was threatened, and I feared for my life’.

Shiver’s attorneys also released a statement in which they branded Moore ‘deranged’ and echoed their client’s anger at his punishment.

‘Today’s sentence does not reflect the seriousness of Moore’s unlawful entry and aggressive attack on Ms. Shiver on December 10th,’ Andrew M. Stroth and Steven A. Hart said.

‘Following his termination from the University, this deranged 6 foot 4, 285-pound man broke into her apartment and physically threatened her with knives.’

Shiver’s contract with the Wolverines has recently expired, an athletic department spokesman told the Daily Mail.

Shiver is the daughter of Chicago Bears scout Jeff Shiver, who has appeared at Michigan games with his daughter throughout her tenure in Ann Arbor.

Moore must pay court fees and fines totaling $1,100, avoid alcohol and other drugs, continue to undergo mental health treatment, and avoid any form of contact with Shiver, who called the police on him on December 10.

Judge Simpson stressed that Moore’s probation does not lessen ‘the impact of those events.’ He also delivered a stirring address, identifying Moore’s wife, Kelli, as the ‘person saving him from the full wrath of this court.’

Specifically, Simpson credited Kelli for her strength in managing for their daughters while frantically trying to help the police track down her husband on December 10. Simpson noted in one of the 911 calls from Kelli, he could hear the couple’s ‘babies’ in the background.

Kelli also wrote Simpson a letter to urge him for leniency. ‘The person who is saving you from the full wrath of this court is the person who you betrayed,’ Simpson said.

In December, audio recordings of the terrifying 911 call made by Moore’s wife, Kelli, on the day he lost his job at Michigan came to light.

In audio obtained by TMZ, a terrified Kelli told the 911 dispatcher: ‘I’m worried my husband is going to hurt himself’.

When asked why she believed that, Kelli replied: ‘Because he said that to me. He said he is trying to kill himself’.

The dispatcher then asked for Moore’s whereabouts. Kelli replied: ‘I don’t know. He just called me saying he got fired from his job, and he’s in crisis.

‘I told him that I love him and that I need him to come home, but I don’t know where he is. He said he was on a highway.’

Kelli continued by naming Moore and revealing his role as the coach of the Michigan Wolverines to the 911 operator, before insisting she wanted him to come home.

‘I just need to make sure he’s safe. He’s called a couple times, and I’m terrified he’s gonna do something to himself. I told him to come home,’ Kelli said on the call.

A former offensive lineman at Oklahoma, the Kansas native became a graduate assistant coach at Louisville before getting added to head coach Charlie Strong’s full-time staff in 2012.

Moore would go on to join Central Michigan as an assistant before being hired by now-former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh in 2019.

After winning the 2023 national championship as the Wolverines offensive coordinator, Moore was promoted to head coach in Ann Arbor as Harbaugh took the Los Angeles Chargers job in the NFL.
