Nancy Mace has been accused of launching into a profanity-laden outburst at law enforcement officers at a South Carolina airport. The incident occurred as the outspoken conservative was being escorted to her gate.
A report from the Charleston County Aviation Authority Police details that Mace, a Republican Congresswoman and gubernatorial candidate, was supposed to receive an escort from her drop-off point to her flight at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.
However, by 6:35 a.m., officers were informed that Mace would arrive late. The white BMW expected to transport her to the airport never appeared, according to the report.
By 7 a.m., officers learned that Mace was at the airport’s Known Crewmember lane, a passage typically reserved for flight crew members.
Upon reaching Mace, the situation reportedly escalated with her allegedly “loudly cursing and making derogatory comments” towards the officers.
Mace is accused of calling the officials “f***ing incompetent” and remarked that “this is no way to treat a f***ing U.S. Representative.”
One officer who brought Mace to her gate claimed she said that ‘we would never treat Tim Scott like this,’ referring to the junior senator from South Carolina.
‘The entire walk to gate B-8 she was cursing and complaining and often doing the same into her phone,’ one officer alleged.

Once Mace had left, the report said, a gate agent from American Airlines told the officers he couldn’t believe what the congresswoman had done.
‘He implied that a US Representative should not be acting the way she was.’
A TSA supervisor claimed that Mace had treated their agents similarly and would file a report of their own.
Mace has termed the story ‘FAKE NEWS’ and posted security footage of herself arriving to and going through the airport by herself.
‘BREAKING NEWS: Nancy Mace arrives at the airport – with no security. Thank you for your attention to this matter!’
She also bristled against accusations that she used an exclusive entrance not meant for her.
‘All federally elected officials including Senators Scott and Graham use the same Crew Member Access Point at airports. That’s the federal security protocol. Maybe check your facts next time.’
She also used the occasion to feud with Alan Wilson, the state’s attorney general and one of her opponents in the governor’s race, whom Mace has called a ‘pedophile protector’ for his unwillingness to prosecute sex crimes.

‘I wish Alan Wilson spent as much time prosecuting p*dophiles as he does spying on me at the airport,’ she said.
Wilson, for his part, released the police report himself and issued a statement criticizing Mace.
‘Disrespecting the men and women who keep our airports safe is unacceptable,’ he said.
He also said that Mace’s ‘reckless and disrespectful behavior’ is now a pattern.
‘I’m calling on Nancy Mace to apologize for her behavior immediately. These agents and officers are the ones who actually ”hold the line” each day to keep us safe and she should apologize and offer no excuse. But it’s clear, she only cares about herself.’
Cameron Morabito, Mace’s director of operations, responded to the claims in a statement to Wired.
‘Apparently, simply arriving at an airport now makes for a worthy headline. We are forced to take the Congresswoman’s safety extremely seriously,’ Morabito said.
‘After the world watched Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the threats against her have only intensified. Our security procedures are based solely on legitimate safety concerns, and any attempt to politicize this reality is both dangerous and reckless.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to a spokesperson for Congresswoman Mace for comment.
During her four and a half years in office, Mace, 47, established herself from the pack of Republican women due to her many antics in Congress.
At first, she appeared to be a moderate, eager to work on bipartisan work. Now she’s campaigning on how she ruffles feathers on both sides of the aisle.
Mace ‘has drawn the ire of both Democrats and members of her own party,’ a narrator in one of her new gubernatorial TV commercials obtained by the Daily Mail says.
‘She has a way of getting under their skin.’
She also had some new proposals: The Republican unveiled a five-year plan to eliminate state income taxes. ‘Other states, like Florida, Tennessee, Texas, have zero state income tax,’ she said.
Mace also announced initiatives to expand school choice, vocational education and floated policies that could help the state’s authorities better cooperate with ICE to accelerate deportations.
She’s proved to be a conservative rabble-rouser since her election to Congress in 2021.

Mace was one of eight GOP lawmakers to vote to remove former Speaker Kevin McCarthy and has crusaded through Capitol Hill vowing to protect women in the name of restricting transgender rights.
Mace has been increasingly at odds with the trans community in recent years.
Once, she even barged into a Capitol restroom along with Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., to investigate whether the patron was actually a woman, which she was.
She has even been confronted by members of the trans community at her town halls and political events.
In February, Mace spoke on the House floor for an hour about her ex-fiancé whom she stunningly accused of being involved in sex crimes.
State police in South Carolina later opened an investigation into Mace’s stunning claims that she uncovered a rape and sex trafficking ring after sifting through digital information on her ex-fiance’s phone.
Mace’s ex-fiancé has denied the allegations.
