The sister of a missing Texas mother-of-four has been accused of harassing her brother-in-law’s family after he was arrested for his wife’s murder.

Teresa Clark, whose sister Suzanne Simpson disappeared over a year ago following a dispute with her husband, Brad Simpson, is facing harassment charges. She allegedly targeted Brad’s family with threats and a smear campaign.

According to court documents examined by CourtTV, Teresa conducted an extensive media campaign against Brad’s family following his arrest tied to Suzanne’s disappearance.

While her body has not been found, police presume that Suzanne is dead.

Teresa, 55, allegedly bombarded at least four of Brad’s relatives with threatening calls and messages.

They claimed she left daunting voicemails such as, ‘You don’t know who you’re messing with’ and ‘You will not get away with this.’

Investigators reported that despite receiving several warnings, Teresa persisted in contacting Brad’s family through emails and phone calls, typically during late-night hours.

She was arrested on four counts of harassment on October 2, but was released from Travis County jail on October 4, News4SA reported.

Friends said Suzanne was last publicly seen at a party at The Argyle in the Alamo Heights neighborhood on October 6, 2024.

A neighbor told police he heard screaming and saw Suzanne arguing with Brad in front of their $1.5 million home in Olmos Park that night.

The neighbor said he saw Brad ‘grabbing her upper torso area to gain control of her body,’ according to a police report.

After the alleged fight carried on for several minutes, the neighbor said he went outside with a flashlight to look for the couple.

He then reportedly rushed back inside after hearing screams coming from a wooded area across from his home.

An hour later, he claimed that Brad took off in his truck. He returned home a few hours later, according to the police report.

Police identified Brad on CCTV moving suspicious items, including three white trash bags and a heavy-duty trash can, plus a sizable item wrapped in a blue tarp secured in his truck bed.

Brad was found to have purchased items like cement bags, a construction bucket, heavy-duty trash bags, Clorox disinfectant, and insect repellent with cash at a local Home Depot.

Following Suzanne’s disappearance, Teresa (left) expressed doubt regarding Suzanne’s survival, as her mother Barbara (middle) shared similar views at Suzanne’s memorial.

Before he made his purchases, he had allegedly asked an unknown man in the parking lot for directions to the nearest dump in Boerne.

Later that morning, Simpson’s truck was spotted at a gas station without the white trash bags.

However, the blue tarp, firewood rack and trash can were still in the bed of his vehicle.

Suzanne’s DNA was later found on a motorized hand saw, which property tycoon Brad allegedly tried to hide from police.

The day before his arrest, Brad allegedly texted his business partner, James Valle Cotter: ‘I don’t have much time.’

Cotter allegedly helped Brad hide a gun after the incident, police suspect.

On top of the slew of allegedly incriminating evidence, court documents revealed that Brad showed ‘no emotion’ in the days that followed his wife’s disappearance.

Despite being married for over 22 years, Brad was allegedly indifferent about her vanishing.

Brad was arrested on October 9, 2024, in Kendall County on charges of assault causing bodily injury, family violence and unlawful restraint.

Two months later, he was formally charged with her murder, as well as second-degree tampering with evidence with the intent to impair a human corpse, third-degree possession of prohibited weapons, and third-degree tampering/fabricating physical evidence with the intent to impair.

Cotter was also charged with one count of tampering with evidence after police discovered an AK-47 inside the wall of his home.

Teresa asserted shortly after Suzanne’s disappearance that there was ‘no hope’ she was still alive.

‘The minute I got the message, I just knew that my sister was gone and that she was in heaven with my father, my grandma, and my grandpa,’ the devastated sister said last November.

Suzanne and Brad’s 20-year-old daughter, Chandler, alleged on social media that her mother suffered abuse at the hands of her father.

‘My father took my mother’s life in a state of rage and control,’ Chandler claimed. ‘My mother tried to leave my father and lost her life.’

The missing woman’s mother, Barbara Clark, echoed this sentiment at a vigil that was held to honor her daughter.

The heartbroken mother said that just hours before Suzanne went missing, she received a harrowing call from her.

‘She called me up and told me things Brad had done to her physically,’ Clark said.

Brad remains in custody on $3 million bond. He currently has limited permission to write letters to his 15-year-old child.

His two adult children have refused contact with him, while he is barred from communicating with his five-year-old because she allegedly told her school she had witnessed a domestic incident between her parents.

Brad’s trial is set to begin in February 2026.
