Colorado man dies after car drives over rim of Grand Canyon National Park

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday when a man from Colorado lost his life after his vehicle went over the edge of a rim at the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, plunging several hundred feet, as reported by authorities.

The National Park Service reported on Monday that park rangers were informed around 12:40 p.m. about a car carrying a single individual that had gone over the edge near the South Kaibab Trailhead.

Rangers immediately responded and recovered his body 300 feet below the rim. 

While the NPS did not disclose the reasons behind how Bradley’s vehicle ended up over the rim, they included information encouraging those struggling with mental health concerns to contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 or 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

NPS is investigating the incident along with the Coconino County Medical Examiner.

No further information was immediately provided.
