A writer for Saturday Night Live is still seeking answers half a year after his sister vanished under puzzling circumstances.
Jimmy Fowlie, 40, who became part of the SNL writing team in 2022 and co-authored the popular ‘Domingo’ sketch, last saw his sister, Christina Lynn Downer, 38, in late November.
Recently, he posted a childhood photo of his sister on Instagram, expressing that she is constantly on his mind.
“For those who have asked, there are no updates I can share,” Fowlie stated in an April 24 post. “Thank you for reaching out and for your prayers.”
Downer, who might also go by her maiden name, Fowlie, was last spotted in Los Angeles’ Koreatown area, as reported by the LAPD.
The Los Angeles Police Department released a missing persons alert on December 22, featuring two photos of Downer. She is described as being five-foot-one with brown hair and brown eyes.
Fowlie shared the poster to social media at the time, writing: ‘My sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn’t safe.’
In the caption of the post, he appealed for anyone with information to contact authorities, writing: ‘Please share this so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police. The phone number is 213 996 1800 and her case number is 25237639. she was last seen in LA. thank you.’

Fowlie also noted that Downer is rarely seen without her dog, a miniature pinscher named Rex.
‘If you see her, chances are he’d be with her,’ the comedy writer posted at the time.
Police echoed the family’s concerns in the missing persons report, stating, ‘Christina’s family and friends are concerned for her safety.’
Curiously, weeks after Downer was reported missing, her Instagram account had a new post.
‘Living life in peace,’ Downer posted on December 14. ‘If you wanna send me a Christmas treat, I’ll be waiting. Happy holidays everyone.’
But the same photo was posted to Downer’s Instagram story in June and saved as a highlight on her profile, The US Sun reports.
