Mingus Lucien Reedus reportedly made a troubling threat as he emerged on Sunday following his arrest for assault. 

The New York Post reports that Mingus, 25, uttered to them as he stepped out in New York: ‘You want to watch me kill myself?’ 

The unsettling statements emerge merely a day following the arrest of Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen’s son for allegedly attacking a 33-year-old woman.

The nepo baby reportedly struck a woman in the leg, choked her, and slammed her into the ground, according to the New York Post.

TMZ has since reported that woman is seeking a court-ordered protection against Mingus.

According to a report reviewed by the outlet, the unnamed woman informed police that Mingus allegedly ‘used both of his hands to apply pressure to her neck by forcefully squeezing it.’

Prosecutors claim he also struck her right leg with a closed fist before using both hands to throw her to the ground, which led to bruising, redness, and ‘substantial’ pain.

As per the police, Mingus was the one who dialed 911 around 8:40 am on Saturday to report a woman in an apartment on West 16th Street who was supposedly consuming pills and threatening to end her life.

When officers arrived on the scene, the woman accused Mingus of assaulting her. 

Police arrested him and the woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she was determined to be in stable condition.

Photos obtained by the Post showed the model being led out of the building by police and placed into a cruiser.

Hours later her left the 10th precinct with a grin on his face before officers escorted him into a waiting police vehicle.

As he briefly stepped out in public, a reporter asked why Mingus called the police, to which he replied, ‘I didn’t.’

And when asked by the reporter to ‘tell us what really happened,’ he reportedly smiled and laughed before responding, ‘No.’

Per the Post’s account, Mingus said the altercation was ‘a misunderstanding’ before police shut him inside the car.

A woman who claimed to be his girlfriend also described the incident as a ‘misunderstanding.’ 

It’s unclear if the woman claiming to be Mingus’ girlfriend was also the woman he allegedly assaulted.

In total, Mingus has been hit with five charges. 

He faces charges including third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury, criminal obstruction of breathing, second-degree harassment, reckless third-degree assault, and aggravated second-degree harassment, according to Entertainment Weekly. Mingus entered a not guilty plea to all charges on Saturday.

This is not Norman and Helena’s son’s first run-in with the law. 

In March 2022 he accepted a plea deal after allegedly punching a woman at the San Gennaro Festival in Little Italy in 2021.

In that year, he was ordered to attend five private counseling sessions after admitting to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct for punching a woman in the face.

He originally faced a misdemeanor assault charge but his attorney Isabelle Kirschner told DailyMail.com that she negotiated with the District Attorney to downgrade the charge to disorderly conduct, which is only a violation in New York City.

Mingus has followed in his mother’s footsteps, becoming a fashion model.

He was featured on the cover of the Vogue Hommes Paris’ fall-winter 2021-2022 issue alongside Parker Van Noord.

Norman and Helena began dating in 1998 before welcoming their son the following year. The high-profile couple split in 2003, and the Walking Dead actor went on to begin a relationship with Diane Kruger.

Norman and Diane welcomed a daughter in 2018.  Mingus is Helena’s only child.
