Two teams have been given a double game week in Fantasy Premier League after their previously postponed fixture was rescheduled.

Double game weeks give FPL players the opportunity to pick up double the points – as the name suggests – if members of their team are set to feature in two games in a week.

As such, it provides a good opportunity for users to play their Wildcard chip, which allows you to make unlimited free transfers for one game week.

The rescheduled game features two sides that were originally slated to face off in December, but other competition timings meant it was impossible for the game to take place as planned.

The Etihad will host Manchester City’s rescheduled clash with Brentford on February 20, with the Cityzens in Saudi Arabia on the date of the original game for the Club World Cup.

Pep Guardiola’s side naturally added that particular piece of silverware to their bloated cabinet, beating South American champions Fluminense in the final.

FPL managers will already be plotting moves to bring in the likes of Erling Haaland (£13.9m), Kevin De Bruyne (£10.3m) and Ivan Toney (£7.9m) as a result, with the City stars out injured and the Bees frontman returning from a betting ban.

Phil Foden (£7.9m) is another player that good grow very popular, having starred in the absence of his two more frequently lauded team-mates.

Foden has scored four and assisted two in his last six games across all competitions for the Treble winners

It will come at a crucial point in the season for the visitors, though, who will face a meeting in west London with Premier League leaders Liverpool on February 17.

As such, Brentford defenders are unlikely to be a popular pick, with two of the league’s highest-scorers in quick succession unlikely to see Bees stars pick up many clean sheet bonuses.

The Bees are enduring a trying campaign this term, and are currently sat just four points above the relegation zone in 16th spot.

However, that date also coincides with the return of a number of players who have been away the Asia Cup and Africa Cup of Nations.

AFCON is due to end on February 11, while the Asia Cup climaxes on the day before, with the likes of Mohamed Salah (£13.2m)and Son Heung-min (£9.8m) set to return to action with their teams likely to go far in their respective continental cups.

Wolves’ Hwang Hee-chan (£5.7m) and Mohammed Kudus (£6.8m) could also make their return from international duty around this time too.
