An 18-year-old from Wisconsin, facing charges for the murder of his mother and stepfather amid allegations of plotting a government takeover, is preparing to admit guilt in court.

Nikita Casap has been accused of two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, among other charges, following the fatal shooting of his 35-year-old mother, Tatiana Casap, and his 51-year-old stepfather, Donald Mayer, in March 2025. According to online court records, Casap intends to plead guilty to the homicide charges during a hearing scheduled for January 8. As part of the plea agreement, seven additional charges, including theft and concealment of a corpse, are expected to be dropped, as outlined in documents from Waukesha County District Attorney Leslie Boese and reported by WISN, a local ABC news affiliate.

Earlier reports from Law&Crime detailed that Casap allegedly committed the murders within their Waukesha home around February 11, 2025. Following the incident, he purportedly took the family car and left the state, only to be apprehended in Kansas on February 28, 2025.

The alarm was raised when the teenager was absent from school for two weeks, prompting police to perform a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers noted a strong “odor of decay,” as per a criminal complaint reviewed by Law&Crime. Inside, they found the decomposing bodies of Mayer and Tatiana Casap, concealed under blankets, with Tatiana still wearing her winter coat.

During his flight, Casap allegedly used Mayer’s phone to send messages impersonating his stepfather, attempting to create the illusion that Mayer was alive. However, recipients found the texts “weird” and inconsistent with Mayer’s usual tone.

The complaint also revealed that video surveillance captured Casap staying in the home with the bodies for several days before fleeing. He reportedly lit candles around the deceased and was recorded making a disturbing comment about the bodies. Casap also allegedly took photographs of the corpses with his phone.

As authorities investigated the teen’s communications and movements, they uncovered a purported plan to “overthrow the government of the United States and assassinate President Trump.” Among their findings was a manifesto entitled “Accelerate the Collapse,” which outlined “a political revolution in the United States” to “save the white race” from “Jewish controlled” politicians. Nikita Casap was reportedly communicating on Telegram with a Russian national as part of his plot.

Authorities suspected that Nikita Casap killed his mother and stepfather so he could obtain the funds to carry out his plot.

Nikita Casap was charged with two counts each of intentional homicide, hiding a corpse, and misappropriating ID information to obtain money; two theft charges and taking and driving a vehicle without consent; and intimidating a witness. If his plea deal is accepted by Judge Ralph Ramirez, the latter seven charges will be dismissed. Nikita Casap faces a sentence of life without the possibility of extended supervision.
