Tess put on a leggy display as she posed in a backstage lift donning a sparkling black strapless dress with a thigh split.

The mother-of-two wore her blonde tresses in a high ponytail with loose tendrils framing the front of her face.

She wore strappy black peep toe heels as she smiled in the post shared to her many Instagram followers.

The bronzed presenter kept her makeup simple, wearing pastel pink lipstick.

She also donned eyeliner and light eyeshadow as she grinned backstage.

The presenter leant on the door of the lift as she stood for the glamourous pair of photos.

Her post was captioned: ‘Week 8, here we come! @BBCStrictly Thanks team @jamesyardley, @aimeeadamsmakeup, @christianvermaak.’

Take style cues from Tess in a dress by Suzanne Neville

Strictly Come Dancing is back for another series filled with glitz and glamour, and of course Tess Daly kicked off tonight’s episode on a sartorially chic note.

As ever, superstar stylist James Yardley worked his magic! Here Tess wears a bespoke strapless dress by Suzanne Neville, teamed with heels by Dune.

Unfamiliar with the designer? Suzanne Neville is the eponymous British award winning fashion label, specialising in evening-wear and bridal attire. Famous fans of the brand include Perrie Edwards, Rochelle Humes and Charlotte Hawkins.

Tess’s dress is the perfect antidote if you’re bored of wearing the same old LBD every time you go out, and we think this is going to be spot on as we hurtle towards the festive season. Why not get ahead now?

Tess was delighted last week as she watched presenter AJ Odudu receive 39 for her Charleston.

The presenter, 33, and her professional dancer, 26, performed the Charleston to Don’t Bring Lulu by Dorothy Provine and scored an incredible 39 after making it through to the half-point in the competition.

Judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood gave gushing feedback with hard-to-please Craig simply saying: ‘Amazing!’ after the performance.

Emotions: Breaking down in tears in her chat after the dance, AJ  Odudu said: 'This week has been so hard, when you fall a lot it's so hard, you lose confidence in yourself, but Kai manages to pull the confidence out of me and I'm so happy'

An excitable Motsi said in her comments: ‘Oh my goodness, I feel so proud of you! It was authentic, the acting was great, you came in at a high level but you have sat on that high level and gone even further!’

Shirley added: ‘I don’t have a paddle big enough for you that was amazing!’, while Anton said: ‘It was incredible I loved it!’

The pair scored three tens and topped the leaderboard with an incredible 39.

Meanwhile Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden wowed the judges with their latest dance, scoring an impressive 38, after a disappointing performance before.

The McFly star, 36, and his professional partner, 31, took to the dance floor to perform a Paso Doble to Amparito Roca by Jaime Texidor.

The foursome were impressed, with Craig saying: ‘That was amazing, I have never seen such a good Paso Doble from a male at this stage.’
