Colton praised Jon’s ability to ‘speak volumes with just a look’ as he shared photos of his late co-star.

‘John Miyahara, known as Brett from Superstore, has sadly left us. John was an amazing person and, as a performer, could convey so much with just a glance,’ Colton, who portrayed Garrett, shared in a message posted on Wednesday.

‘He was such a memorable figure within the Cloud 9 team. It was an honor to know him and work alongside him. I was fortunate enough to meet some of his family, and my thoughts are with them. Rest in Peace, John.’

In the comments, various members of the Superstore family sent their condolences.

‘Oh man! He was always so sweet! Rest in peace,’ Castmember Kelly Stables, who played Kelly, posted.

‘Oh no, he was literally the sweetest man. Prayers up to his family and loved ones,’ Superstore writer and producer Sierra Teller Ornelas wrote.

Fans flooded the comments section with praise of Jon, who played Brett, a quiet sales person who rarely spoke.

One Walmart manager described how the show, which followed the adventures of employees working at the big box store Cloud 9, touched his life.

‘Rest in peace,’ he remarked on Colton’s post. ‘I currently manage a Walmart, and this show accurately depicts the retail experience and the efforts of hard-working individuals striving to make ends meet with retail wages. I genuinely appreciate the beauty of this show. It captures laughter, love, and passion for the work. Thank you, everyone, for highlighting its positive aspects!’
