Sydney Sweeney is in negotiations to star in the Gundam movie coming together at Legendary, sources have confirmed to Deadline.

Details as to the part Sweeney is playing are under wraps for now. Reps for Legendary declined to comment.

 Gundam a long-running robot-themed multimedia franchise from Bandai Namco Filmworks which kicked off with anime series Mobile Suit Gundam in 1979. The story tends to revolve around conflicts between Earth-based governments and space colonies, often portraying a struggle for independence, political power, and ideological control.
