Taylor Swift rounded off a whirlwind week by sneaking into Arrowhead Stadium to watch Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday evening.

Swift has been on a global promotional tour promoting her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, making appearances on various talk shows around the world.

Despite her busy schedule, she managed to return to Kansas City in time for the crucial game against the Detroit Lions, as the Chiefs aimed to bounce back with a win.

During the first quarter, broadcast cameras showed Swift in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium, conversing with WNBA star Caitlin Clark and sharing a hug with her future father-in-law, Ed. This isn’t the first time Swift and the avid Chiefs supporter, Clark, have joined forces at a Kansas City game, having also watched the playoff victory against the Houston Texans together last January.

On Sunday night, Swift was not seen entering the stadium, aligning with her tendency for discreet arrivals during the 2025 season. A recent late September entry to watch the Chiefs defeat the Baltimore Ravens also went unnoticed by TV cameras. These covert appearances are believed to be due to security concerns, following a stalking incident that led to a five-year restraining order against the perpetrator.

Kelce provided much for Swift to cheer about in the first half, catching three passes for 40 yards by halftime. He almost scored a touchdown on the third catch but was taken down just a yard away from the end zone after attempting to leap over a tackle.

Another video surfaced showing Swift mingling with guests in the VIP suite, where she was caught greeting a Chiefs fan holding a baby dressed in a ‘Kelce 87’ jersey.

Meanwhile, Swift’s new album has had the world talking and, on Monday, there could be even more to discuss amid reports of a ‘big announcement’ set to take place.

Good Morning America have teased ‘an exclusive Taylor Swift announcement’ on Monday morning and fans are beyond eager to find out what it could be.

Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, has split opinion among fans, with one track that  references Kelce’s manhood coming under particular criticism.

Strewn throughout the entire song are lyrics about how the Kelce finally broke her unlucky streak in love. She also mentions his ‘magic wand’ and detailed how ‘His love was the key / That opened my thighs.’

Speaking on the Jimmy Fallon show, Swift explained: ‘So I brought this into the studio and I was like: I want to do a throwback, timeless-sounding song and I had this idea about “I gotta knock on wood” and it would be all these superstitions.

‘And it really started out in a very innocent place… I don’t know what happened, man. I got in there, we started vibing and I don’t know how we got here. But I love the song so much.’

Kelce appeared to poke fun at the uproar surrounding the song by turning up to the Chiefs game on Sunday in a lumberjack-esque outfit.

Clark, meanwhile, made her second NFL appearance in one week, having been spotted at an Indianapolis Colts game the weekend prior.

Clark and boyfriend Connor McCaffery were joined on the sidelines by her fellow Indiana Fever stars Natasha Howard and Makayla Timpson.

Clark has been a Chiefs fan all her life, despite being born in Indiana, because she has family that live in Kansas City.

She’s also a huge Swiftie at attended multiple shows on the hugely popular Eras Tour, long before she made it into the WNBA.

Clark’s 2025 WNBA season was cut short by a groin injury, but the Fever still managed to reach the WNBA playoff semifinals, where they fell to the Las Vegas Aces last week.
