Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner has reacted to the news of her and Travis Kelce’s engagement.
The Twilight actor, 33, shared a post again from the NFL’s official Instagram featuring Swift and Kelce’s engagement picture alongside an image of them post the Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl victory.
‘I still can’t believe this is actually happening,’ the post stated, echoing the singer’s, 35, expressions to Kelce, 35, after their significant win. Kelce responded, ‘Same.’
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement after a secret proposal two weeks ago.
In 2009, she had a relationship with Lautner after they first crossed paths filming the ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day, during which they shared an on-screen kiss.
She described the moment as ‘life-changing’, and he appeared equally smitten, saying he definitely considered her ‘his type’.

When quizzed about their relationship on a U.S. radio show at the time, the Love Story singer played it coy.
She said: ‘I don’t know, he’s an amazing guy and we’re really close… and ah… yep.’
However, it was a mere two months before their relationship was over.
A source informed Us Weekly at the time, ‘He was more interested in her than she was in him. He made efforts to see her wherever possible, whereas she didn’t travel much to meet him,’ adding that they concluded they were better as friends.
In 2023, Lautner told the Call Her Daddy podcast Swift was ‘absolutely’ the instigator of their split.
He said: ‘I’m thinking back on exactly what happened. But no, yeah, she did.’
‘I believe when you hold respect for someone at their core, it allows you to move forward, forgive, and continue that love in a different manner.’
‘We stayed friendly, we would see each other now and then. But we then did fall out of touch and didn’t talk for a while.
