âWoah she looks differentâ
âHer bangs are parted weirdly? I think thatâs whatâs throwing me off more than anything. She still looks good!Â

âAre these AI?â
Iâm sorry, whoever did her hair and makeup here needs to be fired.â

Her new engagement ring from Kelce, who proposed in August, was front and center on The Graham Norton Show, as Taylor showed off the sparkler which reportedly cost her NFL star fiancÊ between $700,000 and $1,000,000.
Asked by Graham when the wedding is happening, she said: âYouâll know. I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan.
Talking more about her hotly-anticipated new album The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor said: âLast year on the tour I was physically exhausted â sick and worn down â so to spark me up I had the album as a secret passion project behind the scenes. It stopped me hitting a wall.â

Asked if all the songs are inspired by her life, she said: âI am open about things but in recent years I have a different perspective and like storytelling at a little bit of a distance, so it isnât like doing a complete autopsy of myself.â
Reminded that she once said she only wrote songs she can easily sing, she says, âI think my wheelhouse is bigger now.Â
âI feel I can do anything now while running in heels. I am confident to write higher choruses, jump an octave, and do falsetto stuff. I have more confidence after the tour.â
Asked about specific songs on the album, she said: âMy dad is very excited about Opalite, and it is Travisâs favorite. Growing opals in a lab is an interesting metaphor for making your own happiness; to rise above the trials and tribulations and be happy you did things on your terms.â
Taylor also spoke about acquiring the master rights to her first six albums from the investment firm Shamrock Holdings, which acquired them in 2020 after they were sold by her former label, Big Machine, to Scooter Braun in 2019.
She said: âA lifelong dream came true. I was able to buy my entire back catalogue. I donât respond to stuff generally but not owning it really pissed me off.Â

âI didnât think I should be given it â I was happy to pay and at a premium. I am glad I spoke publicly about it and my fans got behind it and championed it.Â
âI couldnât believe it happened. Travis and I were in tears when it did. Every time it is mentioned, I get a wave of euphoria still.â Â
Taylor was joined on the couch by Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson and Lewis Capaldi, and seemed particularly struck by fellow singer Lewis, laughing as the Scottish star chatted.
Taylorâs episode of The Graham Norton Show airs on Friday October 3 â the day her record is released.
