Taylor Swift amused fans with her latest The Life of a Showgirl promo snap just hours before the release of her 12th studio album.
The singer, 35, who is newly-engaged to Travis Kelce, showed off her cleavage in a plunging bejeweled corset paired with a huge diamond headdress.
The star appeared as stunning as ever in the previously unseen snapshot, prompting fans to excitedly claim the image—which was released to highlight an upcoming appearance on Sirius XM radio on Monday, October 6—had been generated by AI.
The Life of a Showgirl will be released just over a month after Swift, 35, first announced it.
Continuing her pattern of numerical themes, Swift announced the 12-track album at 12:12 AM on August 12. She then made a rare podcast appearance on her fiancé Travis Kelce’s New Heights to reveal the album’s cover art, complete with rhinestones.
The Life of a Showgirl represents a visual shift from her earlier works. The album cover reveals a more daring side of Swift, portraying her as a glamorous Vegas showgirl.

It is also her first album in over a decade that will not feature production by her go-to collaborator and co-songwriter, Jack Antonoff.
On the cover, Swift flashes the flesh in a skimpy green jeweled bodysuit while submerged in water in what appeared to be a bathtub.
The album cover features a collage-like design, with cropped, close-up images of Swift’s adorned body forming a border. Glittery orange letters spell out ‘The Life Of A Showgirl.’
In the captivating image taken by renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, whom she collaborated with on 2017’s Reputation, the starlet gazes intently at the camera.
“I loved what they did with those photos, so I called them up for this album,” she mentioned on Kelce’s New Heights podcast. “I am thrilled with how the photos turned out for this one.”
Swift said she wanted to go ‘all out’ on the imagery for The Life Of A Showgirl because she is ‘so proud’ of the music.
‘This is a full send. I care about this record more than I can even overstate.’
‘My day ends with me in a bathtub — not usually in a bedazzled dress — but we try to keep it decent,’ Swift joked. ‘I wanted to glamorize all the different aspects of how [the Eras Tour] felt and [the The Life Of A Showgirl cover] is how that felt at the end of the night.’

Swift said she chose that image because it best represents the album, which centers around the feelings and experiences in her ‘offstage’ life.
The Life Of A Showgirl marks a major musical departure for Swift as it is her first album in over a decade that will not feature production by her go-to collaborator and co-songwriter, Jack Antonoff.
Instead, Swift confirmed she co-produced her new album with pop music heavyweights, Max Martin and Shellback.
Shortly before Martin’s involvement was confirmed, Swift’s eagle-eyed fans noticed that every song on the star’s latest Spotify playlist, which included choice cuts from 1989, Reputation and Red, had been produced by Martin.
Martin used to be a major collaborator with Swift, but the two haven’t worked together since recording music for Reputation, and Martin was notably absent from the sessions to rerecord songs he had previously worked on with Swift.
During her appearance on the New Heights podcast on Wednesday, Swift revealed that she recorded the new album while on her record-breaking Eras Tour, which ran from March 2023 to December 2025.
The superstar said she made frequent trips to Sweden to work with producer Martin during her rare days off from performing around the globe.
‘I would do like three shows in a row. I’d have three days off. I’d fly to Sweden, go back to the tour, and was actually working on this.
‘I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating,’ she explained.
Kelce, who was seated beside Swift during the interview with his co-host and brother Jason Kelce, added: ‘She was literally living the life of a showgirl.’
‘That’s why I called [the album] that. Nailed it,’ Swift quipped as she playfully patted her boyfriend on the shoulder.
This new album follows Taylor’s previous release, The Tortured Poets Department, which came out in April 2024.
Even before it’s release, the album has already broken a record – Spotify confirmed on August 31 that it had become the most pre-saved album in the history of its Countdown Page.
In the days leading up to The Life Of The Showgirl dropping, fans prepared for the album
The celebrations will continue even in the days after the release, with Swift announcing she will be having a theatrical release party to celebrate her new album.
‘I hereby invite you to a *dazzling* soirée, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl: Oct 3 – Oct 5 only in cinemas!’ she shared via an Instagram post on Friday.
‘You’ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single “The Fate of Ophelia”, along with never before seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl.’
‘Looks like it’s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan… Tickets are on sale now. Dancing is optional but very much encouraged,’ the star added.
